This was the first anti-vaccine book that I read and it scared the crap out of me. The book concentrates of the DPT vaccination; specifically, the pertussis vaccine.

The thing that makes this book moving is the stories from the parents. The stories of parents that their child had a negative reaction after receiving a vaccination. Part of it was describing the parent/doctor trust that was betrayed; the doctors and nurses gave the injection(s) then denied that the after-effects were a consequence of the shot, They told the parent not to worry or blamed them for being a bad parent; all this while the child is suffering temporary damage, permanent damage or will die.

A documentary was made about vaccine damage and had a very limited release; however, enough parents saw it to spread the word. All of these parent that had children damaged by vaccines and were told that the vaccine was not responsible recognized the story too well. The parents were furious and looking for some pay back for the evil that had been done to their child. These parents banded together to fight back.

After many years of saying that the pertussis vaccine was safe and that the parents were wrong to blame their misfortune on the vaccine; the pertussis vaccine was weakened/attenuated.

The government has recently done the same thing for the MMR vaccine. After many years of saying that the vaccine was safe and not responsible for the children that developed autism after receiving it; they removed the mercury from the vaccine after enough people were upset about it. I know someone that this happened to. They took their healthy, happy, and smart baby to the doctor for the (necessary) MMR vaccine then watched the spark of intelligence fade from his eyes after receiving the shot. This happened in California. The parents did not know that they had the legal right to exempt their child from vaccination; however, they would have probably given him the shot anyways. They believed that children should be vaccinated and that they would be irresponsible as parents if they did not give their child the vaccines to protect him against disease. What a hard way to learn that vaccines are not safe. Further study reveals that the vaccines are not even effective; these toxins are being injected into our children so some people can make a profit. They are also being injected because the parents do not want to be different than the rest of the sheep herd. It takes resolve to be different from the group and be called crazy. The media really helps reassure the sheep; they blame any outbreaks of a virus on the un-vaccinated. To find out if you can exempt your children go to NVIC.ORG; they display what the laws are in each state.

NVIC.ORG was the result of parents banding together to fight against the DPT vaccine; in fact, the original name for the organization was Dissatisfied Parents Together. They were responsible for the governments formation of the vaccine injury act and the organization that handles vaccine injury claims. This is touted as a victory in the book; however, the government has merely assumed the financial responsibility (with our tax dollars) for the vaccine manufactures and the doctors that administer the shots.

This book will break your heart, make you furious and change your life. One reason that people continue giving vaccines to their children (even after someone like me warns them) is that their entire belief system is threatened. All of their lives they have been told by doctors, nurses and the government that vaccines were safe. Most of us believe that doctors and nurses are good people who only want to do the best for us and our children. To think that a doctor or nurse would knowingly or unknowingly do something that would damage our precious children is unthinkable. A baby is a miracle; all of our hopes and love in a tiny little bundle. We offer our precious bundle into the hands of these people we trust. This offering is not intended to be a sacrifice. The USA is the greatest nation on earth; we are the good guys; we saved the world during WW2. How could it be possible that our government would willingly allow many of our children to be damaged or killed each year? How could our beliefs have been so wrong for all of our lives? I have multiple copies of this book. I give them to parents that I want to educated about vaccinations. I recommend that you do the same. SDSerf

I think only those with a strong stomach should read this book. It was very difficult to find, I suspect because the State does NOT want anyone to read it. What the state did before the Twitter Files. THe long story of the original whole cell Pertussis vaccine. A horror it is. From untested vaccine through decades of unspeakable injuries, to dismal failure of follow-up, to coverups and denial, it has it all. THe State, pharmaceutical companies, and ESPECIALLY doctors. Monstrous. It could have been written in 2022 about the COVID vaccine . Will sound eerily prescient. Not for the faint of heart. And if you are a believer in State oversight of ANYTHING this should turn you right around.

I heard about this book soon after my daughter had a vaccine reaction in 2002. I figured the contents might not apply to me since my child got the DTaP vaccine (with acellular pertussis) instead of the no-longer-in-use DTP with whole cell pertussis. I finally decided to read it in late 2004.

I couldn't believe how very relevant and applicable the book is to my situation in 2004. Yes, this book IS STILL VERY RELEVANT in a world where DTP has been replaced by DTaP.

How is it still relevant?

In my case, my child had inconsolable high pitched screaming for 6 hours straight after her 4 mo. shots. As explained in the book, high pitched screaming is a known and well-documented adverse effect of the whole-cell pertussis component of DTP. My child did not get DTP but instead got "the safer" DTaP, and yet this reaction still occurred. There were also longer term side effects that this book would categorize as neurological. My infant stopped making eye contact for over a week, and my previously vocal and communicative infant stopped cooing for nearly 4 weeks!! How I prayed every day God would give me my baby back!

When I reported the longer term side effects to my doctor, she dismissed it as "anecdotal" suggesting there is nothing in the data to support that a lack of eye contact or loss of cooing could be caused by any vaccine. I couldn't believe the disrespect and disregard for my report of the facts of what had occurred. This book offered some relief and support in this regard because I know now that I am not alone. And this is unfortunate. Other parents of children who have vaccine reactions are treated similarly by their pediatricians.

I concur with asking the question posed by the author, exactly when did the medical community switch from listening carefully to reports of symptoms from parents and patients and begin to listen only to published reports from controlled studies - most of which are funded by organizations with a conflict of interest? Something is very wrong with a system that denies and dismisses the valid reports of concerned parents who have witnessed changes in their child post-vaccination.

In my case, prior to reading all I could get my hands on about vaccines, I was ready to agree with the doctor that my daughter should continue with all other vaccines eliminating only the pertussis vaccine. Then, just before the next round of shots were given, a last minute record review indicated that the leg that had swollen up like a goose egg was not even the leg where the DTaP was administered!! Polio and Hib went into that leg!!

So what a quandry for this parent, indeed! Which toxin caused the swollen leg? Which toxin/vaccine/component caused the loss of eye contact? Which caused the cessation of verbal cooing and the ongoing restlessness and the changes in sleep patterns? Was it acellular pertussis? Or was it diptheria, tetanus, hib, or polio? Or could it have been some ingredient in the vaccines, a preservative or adjuvant material? Could it have been carryover materials from the human fetal cells or animal cells used in manufacturing? No one will ever know. Nor will answers ever come as long as the medical community continues to deny that vaccine reactions occur.

The last sentence of the book reads, "The time has come to become educated about vaccines."

I completely agree with the author on this point and think others will too after reading this book and others on the topic of vaccine safety.

Excellent, eye opening book. What I love about this is how well the author researched her subject matter, experience, and findings through the actual medical journals. This is NOT an “I think maybe…” book, but rather based off of fact taken from legitimate sources that anyone doing medical research - serious medical research- would use. Cannot recommend this read high enough!!

Ps - This is not a “never do this” book. The author researched because of results and damage and is making you aware of what goes into the mentioned products so that you are know exactly what’s happening, make decisions, go the safest route for your family, and hopefully prevent what happened to her and so many others.

Lots of anectdotal evidence and very interesting easy read. My only complaint is that it now seems out of date so less relevant. That said it is enlightening to see the historic problems with this vaccine, how it was handled by organisations you would want to trust and therefore question vaccinations still on the schedule today.
