I began reading romance novels in 2019 and became instantly hooked. I was inspired to write my own book during the 2020 lockdown and first self-published on Wattpad. With the help of Instagram, I gained a loyal following and eventually secured a publishing contract with 4Horsemen Publications. I am a recent but enthusiastic follower of the Dallas Stars Ice Hockey team and in particular the delicious Tyler Seguin.

My Seattle Whalers hockey romance series has a loyal following on Instagram and I intend to keep writing about my crazy gang for as long as the readers want them.

I love an espresso martini, dirty-talking alpha heroes with tattoos and a lazy Sunday breakfast.

So this one got me a little emotional and I’m not even mad about it. Jake and Olivia’s story was heart wrenching, emotional, and filled with guilt, hurt but also joy and the understanding that comes with overcoming grief and coming out on the other side. Watching Jake become the man that Olivia needs and learning to move past the guilt of Pete’s death was beautiful. Olivia and her family were amazing and everything Jake needed. Great read!

I have never read this author’s books but this was good. I am not ashamed to say I did shed a few tears. Poor Jake carried the guilt of his best friend’s death for six years. He avoided his best friend’s family because of it. Olivia was able to finally break down some of his wall he put up but I think her mom did the rest. Great read.

This was my first read by Emily and it didn't disappoint. At times wasn't sure where she was going with the storyline and that made it all that much better. 4.5 stars

Jake and Olivia have know each other their whole lives. Olivia's brother, Pete, and Jake were best friends throughout high school, even joining the Navy together and becoming SEALS together. Olivia has had a crush on Jake since she was younger. When her brother is killed in the line of duty all she wants is answers. .While Jake has the answers, he stays away for six years to avoid the questions

Now Jake is back and the feelings are strong on both sides, but when he can't give the answers, he forces her to walk away from him. When Olivia does find out the truth will she be understanding or will she hate Jake forever?

Fast read, very well written . Look forward to reading more of Emily's books

I really enjoyed this book. I found the characters engaging and likeable, the romance was perfect, and the work they did to be together was really important. They both had to heal to be together, and I think the way the author handled it was beautiful, touching, emotionally satisfying, and authentic/believable. I definitely recommend this book, and look forward to checking out more of the authors work ASAP.

This addition to the SEAL Team Romeo series is heartbreaking, before becoming beautifully sweet and poignant.
Jake and Olivia have known each other for so long, they grew up together, they have both lost a brother and are struggling to move on. Jake is drowning under the guilt, guilt of not protecting Pete but also the guilt of craving Olivia.
I think Pete is looking down at them, laughing at the avoidance and denial as they dance around their attraction...but deep down he would be happy they finally get together.
