From the Author
This is a short guide, something you can read in a couple of hours and then spend the rest of your writing career absorbing and practicing. But if you want to write compelling fiction, it really is that important.

Is it a book? No, more like an article on steroids or a chapter that was left out of a good fiction writing book.
Is it overpriced? Considering its length, definitely--especially when compared with similar Kindle products, but there is more value here than you'd find in many book-length publications. I would recommend this to my students/clients without hesitation, but I know many will balk at the price for such a short piece.
Does it shamelessly plug the author's seminars? This was my initial reaction--it felt like a hard-sell infomercial('But wait, there'w more!!!'). Upon rereading, it didn't jump out at me quite as much. I understand the need to market oneself in short pieces like this, but a tasteful mention at the end should be sufficient. I didn't mind the plugs for her mysteries. Regardless, this doesn't affect the knowledge gained from the content.
Thanks for the well written and clear examples. I feel I am already a better writer from having read this work.
Mall size is a plus giving me what I was looking for quickly and without waisted words. I know I will be turning back to this time and again as I look for clues to draw the reader into my stories. I feel this is just the right size for what it sets out to do.
In many ways this was an advertisement for the writers other programs. Please leave the advertisements to a small list at the end of the manuscript. Don't turn the whole thing into one big advertisement.
I strongly suggest getting this book and reading it not once, but several times. And any time while writing you think the reader needs to have some long description about some aspect of the character, stop writing, and read this book again. I do not believe any serious author can ignore what Connie is concisely teaching in this small work.

I give the author 3 1/2 stars. There was no way to reflect this using amazon marking system. So 3 1/2 stars it is.
