Gwen has just finished taking the bar and is waiting to see if she passed and earned her law degree. She's working at her aunt's diner when Carson strolls in and the two meet. Their attraction is instant and she jumps at the chance to attend his football game when he offers her some tickets. What will happen when both of their dreams come true, yet it looks like they're going in different directions?
Carson is such a sweetheart! He had a tough childhood with horrible parents and had only himself to depend on. It was nice that he was able to open up to Gwen and not feel so alone anymore. Gwen is also a sweet character and wants to use her law degree to help the less fortunate. Their romance was a very hot, fast and sweet story. Ends at 38% on my Kindle with bonus books/material.
Carson's teammate Langston has his own book, Big Time, which is also available by this author.

I bought Show Time by KB Winters in September and this review was given freely.
Vivid descriptions and down to earth characters bring life to this steamy football based romance and made it a joy to read. Carson finally gets to play as a quarterback and Gwen is waiting to see if she passes the bar exam. I liked and identified with the more polished/refined characters in Show Time rather than the rough and tumble characters and language of Big Time. I enjoyed not only following their careers but also seeing how they meshed their personal lives both on and off the field. The continued look into the lives of Langston and Cassie made this a well rounded and excellent second novel in the Cannons Football Team series.
I received a copy of Boomer-The Elite books 1 and 2 the complete series in the book Show Time by KB Winters and this review was given freely.
From the first paragraph which introduced Boomer, I was Channeling Top gun. The first book is ironic, funny, and mostly sweet with a hint of steam as Jack aka Boomer and Holly begin to trust each other and, Holly accepts a life with another military man is possible. The addition of Jack's buddy Aaron and the dogs Princess and Hunter bring humor, complexity, and depth to the story. The second book holds lots of drama, action, and intrigue as Aaron and Rachael help Holly through the crisis of Jack being shot down. KB Winters words flow easily, the stories are filled with emotion, the characters feel like real people, and the ending is happy.
Though it's a sports romance, Carson isn't the regular bad boy jock - he's a sweet & sexy hero that's just only gotten a chance to shine as his team's quarterback after 4 years. Gwen is getting her start in her career after a long wait, as well. The secondary characters add to the essence of the book. Aunt Maggie is a hilarious!!! The book has a little bit of angst to help it along, and set in the holiday theme, it's perfect for this time of year.
Definitely a good read. I voluntarily reviewed an ARC of this book.
