3M's VHB (Very High Bond) Transparent Adhesive Tape, sticks only to clean non-treated glass. Cures the swing shower door/screen problem, mopping-up water that drips on the floor, whenever the wet door opens. It channels water back into tub/pan, almost invisibly. Now, you can do normal glass squeegee cleaning, from outside the stall.
Color: Clear. Lengths: 33 in
Note: Allow 72 hours for adhesive to fully cure.

One slight issue: after installation, there was a gap between the top of the adhesive backing and the glass door, enough for me to run the tips of my fingernails in. I don't know whether this is because I didn't install it properly, didn't clean the glass properly or whatever, but it concerned me that water might get in there as it trickled down the glass door and affect the adhesive over time, or simply fester and get moldy. So, I got some Vaseline and ran it along that edge so the water runs over it. Seems to do the trick!
I considered replacing the door, glad I tried this first.

Solution: Drip Rail from Magic Moulding.
Fixing: There's a youtube video showing how to fix the shower door drip rail properly. Measured twice and cut the drip rail to size with scissors to fit our door. It took some adjustment with a sharp knife on the extreme ends, as our door also has 2mm tabs on the sides. But once the small adjustment cuts were made in the edges, it fit perfectly. Seems like a part of the door now, not a messy DIY gone wrong. No more puddles of water outside the shower door as soon as we open it. Now I have a dry floor right outside the shower.
