The rapid-fire style of electric guitar playing known as 'shredding' has actually been around for centuries in the music of J.S. Bach, Paganini, Vivaldi, and many other Baroque and Classical-era composers. In learning the works of these masters, one not only develops extreme proficiency and dexterity on the fretboard, but also acquires a working historical knowledge of the music of those who were considered the 'rock-stars' of their day.
Many thanks extended out to Herr Schauss for providing electric guitar players with the excellent transcriptions of these masterworks!

Rimsky-Korsakov: The Flight of the Bumblebee
Vivaldi: The Four Seasons, Presto
* listed as "Notebook for Anna Magdalena Bach".
This is certainly worth getting if you are interested in guitar interpretations of classical music. German flat out excels in this area.
I use all his books for finger excersizes and quick refreshers on technique and theory.
Plus, I've learned a new mind set for studying and remembering guitar techniques.
Purchase them and have a good time, just do it!
