I had to send the first one back because the TA4F was defective and couldn't be plugged in to the transmitter. Just by looking at it, I could see something was wrong. It shouldn't have been packaged for sale. The seller promptly sent another, and it works. Shure should make these in Mexico where they make their quality mics.

For a recent seminar I ran in a large hotel, they wanted to charge a lot for a PC sound connection. Many hotel wireless mics are Shure, so just buy this and a 1/4 TS To 1/8 Inch Mini TRS Mono Adaptor, and you'll save yourself a lot by using this cable with the Shure wireless mic pack the hotel provides.

These are necessary if you own a Shure guitarist wireless. They are the only replacement cords that fit. Based on the reviews here, and the fact that the one that came with my wireless only lasted 3 months, when I bought this I wrapped it from end to end with 3 layers of black plastic tape. That made it a lot stiffer, and so far it has lasted almost a year. It is starting to short out occasionally, but I hope to get 3 or 4 more months out of it before having to order another replacement. If you need one of these, do like I did and reinforce the entire cord with electrical tape from plug to plug, or you will be needing a replacement very quickly! I play bass and use mine three times a week at church, and at a few gigs in the past year.

I love my shure wireless gear, it sounds good without totally busting my bank, but these stupid cables are a pain. This is my third, in 5 years of have my gear so not terrible, but I should not have such an issue repairing the cable.

I know how to use an iron but I cant find wiring schematics that work so I keep buying these dang cables

still hard to argue with the stuff when it is working

I use this to interface my Monitor Send from the mixer (line level) into a Shure body pack, and then transmit the monitor mix back to our house PA. Perfect job, once I adjusted the gain setting on the body pack to 0db (not mic).

Great way to use our existing body packs with a regular ol' SM58 to have wireless capabilities until we can afford a few SLX2s. We use these at our church during audience participation at any event to make sure people in the audience can be heard. Great budget solution!

I'm now buying my third cable. As everyone else states, they don't last that long. I wonder if posting this review on the Shure PGX Wireless unit will get any attention from Shure. There stuff is usually rock solid and lasts for years, these cables each lasted maybe only a year or two each. For me that's only 40 gigs. The first one I got to last a little longer by actually going in and repairing the solder joint but everything in there is so small, it's not at all like soldering a regular guitar cable. The latest one broke in a different way. The brass female connectors inside the end which goes to the belt pack actually started coming out of its housing. Completely broke the connection inside. I would buy something different if I could but the wireless unit itself cost around $300 and it's quite an investment to get a different unit. So here I'll just keep throwing $16 at the problem.

It arrived within the window promised and functions perfectly. No big deal, except that it works with the Line 6 Wireless system that I have. I could tell that from the photos. The big issue I had was whether the bad connection I had was in the cable or in the transmitter itself. Buying the cable was far less expensive and solved the problem.
