Editorial Reviews

From the Author

This is a story about helplessness - the kind we all feel at some time or another, or, maybe, most of the time. In a world of high-speed computerized trading, massive financial institutions and globalization, it's easy to feel like a cork in the ocean. I started writing this book during the financial crisis of 2008 when most of us became suddenly aware of how our mortgages - the biggest financial investments of our lives - were being traded like baseball cards by the big banks. It was absurd, it is absurd, and so I thought I'd try to write something funny about it. Because life, like death, is something you can't escape--so you might as well laugh at it. -CR
