Top Customer Reviews
I bought this bag because I am a big girl and hate feeling confined. I was looking for a down bag or comforter that was roomy enough for me to sleep and move in and still packs down reasonably small. I tried out a lot of bags before this and I am so far very impressed with this innovative design. To make sure I had space I got the long bag.
The bag is roomy. I can sleep comfortably and there is space for my 14 month old to climb in with me. I can twist and turn without feeling trapped. Because I bought the longer bag I can snuggle down into it a little deeper and pull the comforter around my head and neck.
It packs down light and small. While it is billed as a "front country" bag I would be comfortable packing this in my backpack.
Cozy. The comforter and zipper less design make getting snuggled down very easy and cozy. You can adjust everything and not have to worry about drafts or snags.
Customizable. The one thing I loathe even more than feeling trapped is sleeping with a cold nose. The hood and comforter make it easy to cover what I want covered without overheating or feeling smothered. I can tuck things around my head to leave my mouth uncovered but keep my nose warm.
It is only 2 seasons. I camp in a lot of desert areas and it gets quite cold at nights so I am concerned that it may not be warm enough.
The thinner down fill shifts a bit and does have some thin spots.
Not sure how I feel about the hands free footbox vent design yet. I keep accidentally sticking my feet out while climbing in but that may work out as I get used to the bag.
I would really like to see this bag with an 800 fill and a slightly fuller bottom fill however so far I am very happy with this bag and look forward to this camping season.
We've been out several times and I can say I LOVE this bag. I have never been cold, I can move and sleep comfortably. I eventually got the hang of the foot box design and no longer accidentally stick my feet out. I am totally thrilled not to have to deal with toggles, cords, and draft collars when getting in and out and I really haven't had issues being cold even when it's chilly out. I would still like to see it in a higher fill weight but overall this is a great bag.
