The thing that makes this author awesome is how she builds the story. Yes it is instalove but there is so much more that she brings out. She doesn't do easy first love, nope that would be too easy. As in this story there are obstacles, from life and friends that must be worked out in order for their love to bloom and take hold and that's what makes it amazing.
Tricia was a bit much at times but I can see her relatable.
Trent. What a tool.
The friendship between Jess and Leon was a great element to the story.
I loved how you get to see other characters and get closure with them. I really thought, maybe hoped that between Gavin's latest film project and the history of Leon and his family, there would have been more of a connection/glimpse of where it could go.
Tricia. She broke my heart a bit, but this did a good job of showing what an abusive relationship will do to someone. Even if said abuse isn't obvious.
And Leon....trying to find a life out of the life he expected to have, and outside of his family's shadow.
These two had quite the dance - but in the end, their ending worked for me. A nice close to the series.
This was a fitting ending to L.B Dunbars Sensations Collection. Though, I hate to see it go, I do look forward to what ever else she has in store for us, the readers.
