Went to the range to work up some re-load data on my .50 Beowulf, and after about 200 rounds its still holding zero up to 50-100yds and works perfect. No idea what some people are doing to theirs but if a .50 doesnt shake it up I'm not sure what will.

I purchased this item for my AR. I liked the size and field of view (comparable to an EoTech). When I received it in it was quick and easy to mount with the quick detach lever and stayed zeroed through 50 rounds of 223 recoil. Still a new product for me but so far I'm really impressed and for a quarter the cost of an Eotech it seems to be a great buy.

Wanted a red dot with a QD mount that didn't break the bank. This is it. It has the rugged metal housing over the glass and most of the sight otherwise is metal also. The quick disconnect lever works great and returns to zero upon re-mounting. The reticle has 4 options, which is good and bad. When zeroing in the sight, you can only zero for the currently selected reticle, if you change options it will change point of impact a bit. So pick your favorite and stick with it. 5 brightness levels for the reticle, which is sufficient. On a cloudless day in the desert level 3 was still visible and level 5 very bright, 4 was the best and what I kept it on all day. I really like the included neoprene cover, but did modify it a bit to fit better on the sight when still mounted.

I'm very pleased with this sight, works in the brightest day light, holds zero (granted only tested with 5.56/.223 rounds) and priced very reasonably for being constructed mostly of metal. Depending on your circumstances, this is a cheap options as opposed to the $400-$600 red dot sights, or an expensive upgrade from the $30 basic sights with no shroud over the glass. Either way I think you will be impressed and pleased with this sight.

I bought this for my AR-15. Installing was a breeze and zeroing a 100yards was easy. A fair product, but one flaw. It only has 5 settings for brightness and at high noon during the day (especially in Florida) you are unable to see the dot or crosses. I ended up buying a rear sight to compensate for the daytime use. Excellent for indoor use, early AM and later afternoon to dark. Truthfully, I ended up buying a cheap red dot scope on Walmart for $35 (Tasco Red Dot 1 x 30mm Rifle Scope 5 MOA Dot)for my AK-47 and it works brilliantly! I might as well buy another for the AR, just saying from experience.

I bought this sight reading great reviews from multiple websites saying how good this sight was. I got my first sight and slapped it on my ar15 and went to the range. Spent over an hour trying to get it zeroed with no luck, couldn't even get consistent shots at 20 feet with sandbags. I noticed that there was a crack in the metal that protects the projector, I sent that one back and got a replacement. Out of the box the replacement had the same crack in the same place, I almost thought it was the same one. Needless to say, this one was a breeze to sight in and shot great groups out at a good distance. That was the first range day, second day about 2 weeks later, went back out to the range at 50yards were I zeroed it the first time and it was not even putting rounds on paper. I contacted sightmark and they advised that that shouldn't be happening and they would forward my input on to their development team, but refused to send me another replacement! The sight is heavy and sturdy and feels like an eotech, but quality of the internals is questionable for me. I would love to love this sight, but it didn't turn out.

I mounted this sight on my Mossberg 590A1 and it worked great for about 20 rounds of magnum slugs. Then the aim point disappeared and I noticed that the sight was loose on the rail. The friction lock had stripped out of the retaining nut. I hard-bolted the sight to the rail and now everything seems ok. I would not buy this product again because I don't think nib products should require repair.

I just got back from a month of camping in Colorado. The 590 went along in case of a bear encounter. When I got home I found out that the Sightmark was completely dead. I replaced the battery to no avail. Aparently it couldn't take riding behind the seat of my pick-up. My ghost ring sight is back on the shotgun.

If I could drop the rating to zero stars I would, but I'm forced to give it a generous one star.

I have put about 120 rounds downrange with this sight and I have had no issues. I boresighted and zeroed quite easily and the sight has held true. I can't overstate how nice it is to have a built in quick release. If need be I can quickly pull the sight off and flip up the Troy battlesights. I did not have any issues with dot visibility in daylight.

I'll be proactive in changing this review to 3 or 5 stars after my next outing, but as for now, lets call it a four star product... ill just point out some facts...

PROS...
Great pricing for something this quality
Sturdy
3 MOA reticle as well as 3 others to choose from.
Battery lasts well over the "1 hour" listed

CONS...
3 MOA reticle (yes i know its under "pros" aswell)
removing and returning to the same rail position on my AR15 did not net a true return to zero... it was about 8.5 inchs off!
65 MOA reticle with 3 MOA dot failed for a period of a few minutes... i had to remove the battery, wait, and them return the battery and power it back on...

My ar-15 is chambered in 7.62x39, it has a bit more punch than 5.56, and the site held zero, and didnt STB, so im happy...
