Product Description

The Siglent SHS806 is a 60MHz handheld, two-channel digital oscilloscope for viewing electrical signals and has a 6,000-count multimeter mode for measuring AC and DC voltage. The oscilloscope has a real-time sample rate of 1GS/s and a record length of 2Mpts for acquiring detailed waveforms. Four math functions plus FFT (fast fourier transform), and automatic and cursor measurements allow an in-depth analysis of waveforms. Edge, Pulse, Video, Slope, and Alternative triggers allow isolation of specific signals. The oscilloscope's automatic triggering recognizes signal patterns and optimizes triggering, timebase and amplitude settings. The oscilloscope has a recorder that captures up to 18 hours of waveforms.

Additional specifications include a rise time of 5.8ns. The unit has a 5.7" color TFT-LCD. The oscilloscope has a USB host port for storing data on a 4GB-maximum flash drive and a USB device port for connecting to a compatible PC. Operating menus and help display in Simplified Chinese, Traditional Chinese, English, Arabic, French, German, Russian, Portuguese, Spanish, Japanese, Korean, and Italian languages. The unit operates on a rechargeable battery pack or a 100 to 240V AC, 50/60Hz adapter/charger (both included). It meets CAT II 300V and CAT III 300V safety standards.

Oscilloscopes are electrical testing devices used to verify the functionality of an electrical signal generator. Oscilloscopes measure an electrical signal over time, and display the waveform signals in a visual graph. The waveform shows the sweeps (or refresh) of voltage on a vertical (Y) axis, and can display time on a horizontal (X) axis. Details of a waveshape demonstrate the signal over time. Oscilloscopes can display in a digital or analog view. An analog oscilloscope has continuous waveform display, typically in a luminous phosphor. Some oscilloscopes can display more than one channel and type of measurement simultaneously. Some oscilloscopes can capture waveform signals to memory, and recall them. Oscilloscopes may provide real-time intensity grading. Some oscilloscopes have the ability to adjust frequency of display. A constant image will display if a signal is shown at a high frequency. Oscilloscopes can be powered with batteries or electricity, or may have a built-in generator. They may have Canadian Standards Association (CSA) or European Conformity (CE) certification, or a specific category (CAT) safety rating, such as CAT5e. Oscilloscopes are commonly used for testing, measuring, and inspecting in science, engineering, telecommunications, automotive, and industry applications.

Siglent manufactures electronics test and measurement instruments for research and development, production-line testing, and electronic field service applications. The company, founded in 2002 and headquartered in Shenzhen, China, meets International Organization for Standardization (ISO) standards 9001:2000 and 14001:2004.

I use this as a general diagnostics tool for electronics repair, vehicle maintenance, and electronics projects. It's portability is very handy.

I haven't had any issues with it. It's not a be-all, end-all scope, but it has great multimeter and scope features for everything I need.

I got the 60MHz model because most everything I work on is audio equipment. The highest I deal with is like, 6MHz for AES stereo signals? I test audio cables, signals, and components. It's been a big help.

I received the unit. It looked great. I followed the directions to boot it up and it was running fine for about 10 minutes. Then it started showing vertical lines randomly and the screen became difficult to read. I tried to reset it to factory defaults as per their website. Nothing happened. The unit still showed a bad screen. This product is defective and not much to do to fix it. Siglent appears to not have good QA on their products. So I will return it.

I will keep this short and sweet. This is a great portable handheld scope for the money. Very good accuracy, lots of features and data logging capability for both the scope and built in DMM. Keep in mind that the inputs are not isolated on this model, but they do make one that is isolated but the cost is considerably more. The menus are intuitive and the functionality is through. The only reason I did not give it a 5-Star is because of the screen resolution. I would have liked to see a bit higher resolution screen, but it's still very workable. I would highly recommend this portable scope!

This is a feature-rich tool in a compact package. It is a nice portable scope and DMM, especially handy for field work. This is a Chinese-made scope designed to resemble Agilent brand products. Very portable.

Was looking for Best Quality / Brand Recognition for Best Price. Wanted a portable scope for solar systems / inverter and SMPS troubleshooting with some protection from high voltages. Also purchased the Pintek DP-25 to increase the input voltages that can be analyzed. The inverted screen has only one other color mode and blanks screen when turning on and off - zoom functions on captured waveforms are buggy - found EEVblog and should have researched this model more before I made the purchase. It's a really Great thing to work with Amazon - Siglent did not reply to their Contact Form. Looks Wonderful but check your other options.

This is a great tool for doing field work or if you swap benches a lot. The battery life is only a few hours, but that's enough to get most problems solved.
