ROX 6.0 Cadence - The Mountain Specialist
Seven altitude functions, barometric altitude determination and intelligent altitude calibration make the ROX 6.0 the ideal choice for riding in the mountains.
Speed,Cadence,Heart rate,Altitude (IAC),Temperature,19-hour log capacity,Lap counter (99 laps),10-second recording interval,Hiking mode
The ROX 6.0 has seven altitude measurement functions, barometric altitude measurement and IAC-Intelligent Altitude Calibration.
Calibrate by a defined starting altitude, the current altitude, or the current pressure at sea level. IAC - Intelligent Altitude Calibration - stores the current altitude in sleep mode. If your bike ride starts where the last ride ended, there is no need to re-calibrate.
Twist the ROX 6.0 into the wristband to hide the bike functions and begin hiking mode. In hiking mode, the key functions include heart rate, hiking time, altitude, general time functions and graphs of the target and intensity zones.
Thanks to an integrated memory chip in the computer head, all the total values and settings are permanently stored in the device. After changing the battery, you only need to reset the time.

* Totally wireless - Just mount the transmitters and the cyclocomputer and it reads everything.
* EXCELLENT tech support. I had to contact them with questions three times and got a response within 24 hours. One issue (involving the Data Center software) couldn't be solved through email so they sent me their phone number and we got it solved that way.
* It comes with a wrist band to wear the ROX when hiking or working out.
* Easy to remove and re-mount to and from the mounting bracket.
It can't be mounted right next to an LED headlight (at least not while the light is on). Being a wireless unit, the light will interfere with the data transmission. Placing the ROX and light a couple of inches apart solved this. Having the light in "flashing" mode also works (for me, anyway).
* The installation documentation that comes with it is horrible. It's written for many languages, so it's mostly just diagrams with minimal text.Read more ›
Have not used it for swimming yet and I'd only say that due to shape of the Rox on the wrist strap I expect drag to be a problem.
Screen is legible in all conditions and find set up and in use screen changes easy and intuitive.
Computer only works when locked in place on the bike mount or the wrist strap (it knows which mode it is in once mounted). Out of either you can make set up changes.
The big plus is the software and docking station (an add on). Rox comes with 50% software discount (original price is 9.99 euros) and it is easy to acquire data. Nice to see exercise performance at a glance with graphs and compiled data. You can add notes to each log file for any specifics you might want to record for future recall. Never had an issue with software download, set up or use (Windows 7).
If I have a gripe it would be the inability to make set up changes from within software, a missed opportunity I think, but it is a small issue for me.
All in all a reliable and worthy instrument.
The ROX 6 is a sleek improvement over the 1909 series predecessor. It also fits the cabled mount you can buy as an option. My recumbents don't always pick up wireless signals due to the distance and angle between cyclocomputer and wheel. The heartrate functions flawlessly.
If I have any bone to pick, it is that the use instructions for the altitude readings are very brief, due to them being in so many different languages.
I bought a docking station and will be uploading ride info into my Mac. Glad I waited for the double sided docking station, as one now fits both base configurations of the Sigma cyclocomputers.
I have used a lot of cyclocomputers, and Sigma beat the pants off every other company for support!
