I chose the rating of 5 stars because the author beautifully and perfectly captured the pain a child goes through after the divorce of their parents. Yates did not sugar coat or edit out the feelings of insecurity or awkwardness or ever try to make the claim that a divorce doesn't affect the children. She didn't try to dramatize the story but she let the story tell itself. It touched me and understood me in ways no one else , especially a piece of literature, ever had. I recommend this book to any person touched by divorce whether it be a child or parent because the insight it gives provides so much healing. At least for me it did, the story coincided so much with my own life that towards the end of the story I felt like I was glancing at how my life would turn out if I didn't differ from the main character and mend those relationships with my family sooner rather than later. This book is awe inspiring and almost like an unorthodox guide that offers wisdom from the main characters growth. The personal-feel of this book allows the reader to open his/herself up to learning and growth. The book inspired me beyond a doubt and answered questions I didn't even know I needed answers. I believe this book can help others affected by divorce in more ways than one and I cannot express how blessed I feel after coming across this book. I would also recommend this book to anybody who feels lost in their lives or lost in their faith. Not only does the story have aspects of surviving through a divorce but it has aspects of surviving domestic violence, finding ones purpose and rekindling or even igniting a relationship with God. It is one of the rare gemstones of literature that has the ability to resonate with the soul on many different levels. It was religiously and heartbreakingly awe-inspiring.

I was fortunate enough to meet T.M. Yates this year at Gettysburg for the 150th Reenactment. I was there as an reenactor with the band I play with. We happened to be camped next to the Gettysburg Wax Museum just behind the authors tent. Over the coarse of the two weeks that I was there I made the rounds of the different authors and spent some time getting to know Tiffany, she told me a little about her book but didn't give much away about the story. When I got home from the event and had time to sit down and read her story I found I could not put the book down and I look forward to the time I had set aside every night to read her story. I felt that I had become part of her life, like a close friend from how she told the story, And near the end it brought tears to my eyes as I related to the relationship she and her father had growing up. This is a compelling story and so worth reading do yourself a favor and buy this book. Thank You Tiffany for sharing your story with us all! Signal Grace

Signal Grace is not only an interesting read but an inspirational tool as well. This story is for anyone who has had trouble dealing with a relationship; a guide to reading signs from another person when mere words are difficult to interpret. As someone who truly believes in God, I found this story to be uplifting as I read about real life divine intervention; positive proof that the Almighty works within our lives to help us understand what is not in black and white. I would highly recommend this book for young people who are struggling with issues which come up in the transition from child to adult. I also found the text to encompass an impressive use of vocabulary; catchy metaphors, interesting description, and warmhearted dialogue. A wonderful story that will leave you wanting more!

Signal Graces are signs sent by God to help us make the right decisions in life. This lovely memoir of a girl's early life, military men and the Civil War all come together in the many meanings of the clover. The signs lead a young girl into a real relationship with her military man father. The grown-up girl finds her way out of a disaster of a first love. The final grace comes in her understanding of two Civil War Generals who were friends on opposite sides of the conflict. All comes together at Gettysburg where the intertwining of all of these Signal Grace's are revealed. This is a lovely book with much to teach about the conflicts between people, the many resolutions that come and the love that binds us all. Really loved it.

Tiffany's book is a wonderful memoir - well written, compelling, insightful. She brings the reader along so easily into her story, the events of her life, and her thinking around those events, both at the time and later on with reflection. I'd like to hear more from this writer and I hope she continues to publish.
