I bought a pretty cheap MTB on Amazon that had some very bad disk brakes on it. They made crazy noise... So I noticed these for about $35 and thought I would give them a try. They were great!!!

It was super easy to switch out the brakes and these fit great. They had the adjustable height pieces on it for making it fit perfectly and the calipers were easy to adjust where they fit perfectly on the bike and made no noise. You could adjust the position and loosen the right caliper to touch the brake perfectly. The rotors were also really nice and were perfectly flat; they look really nice and are high quality. The package also came with everything you need. It had the calipers and rotors for both front and rear (both are 160mm; although my rear wheel was originally 140mm rotor these still fit with no problems since you could adjust the height) and all new screws for everything.

I am very happy with these and they worked way better than the ones that were included on the bike and now my bike makes no noise and stops perfectly. These were a great improvement at a very little cost and all of the pieces were super high quality!!!

I purchased these brakes knowing it was a gamble. One was okay, the other fell apart. Not that big of a deal I traded the disks to a friend for another caliper. Do not buy, just spend the extra and get a decent pair.

Update: The company read my review and was kind enough to replace my broken caliper. This one works fine. Great customer support. Would buy again.

I received the "AONS" all black models. It was one of the calipers pictured.

Background: I've been riding since the early 1990s and have been repairing bikes since 2001. I ride a fair amount and bike commute at least once a week (35mi round trip) if not more.

I put these on a project bike (Gary Fisher 29er) than had 2005-ish Magura Julie brakes. If you know anything about the Julie's, they were a terrible hydraulic unit with plastic clamps. Like most other Jule owners, the plastic parts cracked and made the whole system un-useable.

I purchased these because it is a project bike. I didn't want to shell out $$$ for Avid BB7s. Well, you get what you pay for and frankly I was prepared. These are the worst mechanical disc brakes I've worked with... and they are the cheapest.

Pros:
** Once you get them set up, they will stop your bike reasonably well.
** Cheap... very cheap.
** I didn't use the packaged rotors, but they seemed fine.
** The mounting brackets were surprisingly good!

Cons:
** These are no "G2" rotors. That is an Avid designation and they do not ship with Avid G2 rotors. Clickbait.
** No packaging other than a bubble envelope. So the calipers and rotors were all dinged up. Terrible.
** No clue how you will ever replace the pads. Might just be a throw-away caliper.
** Stopping power is on par with value-level V-Brakes. Fine for recreation, but not for any kind of serious riding.
** The whole setup is sloppy.

I see lots of re-adjustment happening over time. If you just need replacements for a Walmart bike, these are probably ok. Otherwise pay the extra cash and buy wither Tektros or Avid BB5's. Yep, they will be double the price, but they are simply far better in every way.

I expected some issues because of the price, had none. Adjustments are easy and as long as the mounts aren't moving around, brakes are very consistent. Very pleased with these brakes overall.

after three thousand miles or so, swapped to shimano calipers. these are good for slowing down but not great for stopping.

These are an okay set of brakes. They will need some adjusting and I had an issue with the rear brake and had to do quite a bit of adjustment to get it to work.

I actually bought these to mount on a go-kart I built for my son. They stop it extremely well and the cable operation is simple to set up.
