Silencing the Siren is the first book that I've read by J.E. Taylor and I have to say that I really enjoyed it. The book mixes together mythology with fantasy, danger and a lot of heat. I was immediately engaged into the story right from the beginning and I honestly couldn't get enough. Kylee is a fascinating character but I'm a bit disappointed in her for hesitating as much as she does. She knows the dangers and the consequences of not acting swiftly and decisively. I like that she gets a taste of what has been happening to her brother through a touch of his memories but it should have driven her even more to do what she already knew was necessary to do.
This book is very well written with no noticeable errors to detract from the enjoyment of the story. I love a couple of the twists that are thrown at us. I can honestly say that I am very much looking forward to the next book in this series. I give it two thumbs up and 5 out of 5 stars. I received a copy of this book in exchange for a review.
Watched closely by Fate if she ever uses her Siren Song again she will be sent back to help where she escaped from.
She is given a job to kill another Siren but does not know if she can do the job.
Her hot human neighbor decides she needs his help to protect her but he does not know what she is.
Taylor has another well written, attention grabbing story. It's fast paced with interesting characters and hot chemistry between the main characters.
I voluntarily reviewed this ARC book.
This is an interesting story, very different to to what I usually read. it was very fast paced, about an immortal girl who against her will is set a task by fate. If she does not do this task, or fails it, she will be sent back to hell where she has been before. I cant say more about it because it would spoil the story. It was very interesting and unusual and I think I would need to read the next book to decide how much I like the concept of this storyline.
The characters are well developed and I love Kylee's personality and that she isn't a damsel. The plot was interesting; not the same old thing that I've read before. This book will keep you on the edge of your seat the entire time. It is fast paced and full of suspense. There are no cliffhangers. I would definitely recommend this to other readers. I am looking forward to seeing whats to come in the next installment.
I voluntarily read and reviewed an advanced review copy of Silencing the Siren.
