Jennifer holds a bachelor degree in police forensics and a master's degree in criminology & criminal justice. Katie and McGaven are quite the team! They are relentless in their search for clues and finding the bad guy or guys. Although Katie takes unnecessary and stupid chances, in my opinion, luckily she survives. Cisco is the BEST! He is a veteran dog definitely worth saving and deserving of a long, healthy retirement. These stories are great. Definitely a series you want to read.

I absolutely love this series and all the characters. Like the other books in the series, the story was very well written and kept you in suspense. I absolutely did not want to stop reading the story once I started but didn’t have enough time to read the entire book in one day, so it made going to sleep difficult because I couldn’t stop thinking about the story. Katie Scott is a very strong, intelligent female character with excellent instincts. I can’t wait to see what she, Gav and Cisco get up to in the future.

This woman Katie that’s apparently “ brilliant “ and also a war veteran, falls into a deep hole where there is a dead body and rusty metal bars, she sustainers an injury to her arm, and in true fashion ignores calls to go to hospital, ( because only she can run this investigation and her life’s mission is to save EVERYONE) she is then sidelined as she gets an infection, stupidly envisioning the doctor saying she’s fine and it’s just a scratch. What planet are we to believe she’s on! It’s this far fetched narrative with these books that elicit only a three star from me, and a decision to make a note to steer well clear of this author
