- Reviewed in the United States on February 22, 2023The book provided an eye-opening view of the life of Sue Thomas. It made her journey from being deaf at childhood to the FBI even more amazing. The book provided the reader with an example of how someone had to overcome so much more than just being deaf but how she had to learn to rely on the strength that only can come from Christ.
- Reviewed in the United States on June 30, 2023I had seen the tv series and wanted to know the true story, when I got the book to my surprise, autographed by Sue Thomas. But the book was a nice read. It kept my attention throughout. Setting aside the faith based aspects, this was a very enjoyable book, the story of faith just added to it. Overall, a book worth getting.
- Reviewed in the United States on August 11, 2024I was interested in reading this book after watching the series Sue B. Thomas F.B.I./eye on TV. I was also pleased to receive it autographed by Sue. The author was very open about the struggles and the wrong decisions she had repeatedly made in her life. I admire her candor. It open my eyes to the problems deaf people have living in a world where most people can hear. Her struggles and her faith in God to help her become the inspiration to others was inspiring. I absolutely loved the book

- Reviewed in the United States on January 31, 2024I am enjoying this book. It is also autographed by the author with a scripture. She was quite an overcomer. She is greatly missed.
- Reviewed in the United States on November 20, 2016it was good. I had watched the show Sue Thomas F B eye which is based on Sue's time with the FBI. I enjoyed the book as she is a very inspirational woman.
- Reviewed in the United States on June 11, 2014I was privileged to see Sue Thomas when she spoke at the Crystal Catherdral about 8 years ago. Her message is dynamic, how she overcame lots of heartaches but her inner spirit remained strong. The most amazing part of the message is that Sue Thomas cannot talk. She learned sign language, therapists worked with her, and she could read lips. She worked for the FBI for many years, her ability to read lips was a real plus for that job.
To end her message: Sue loves music, and "taught" herself to sing Silent Night; thus the name of the book, and it was awesome. It was right on key, and I have tears running down my cheeks now, as her "singing" was such a blessing to me.
I love music, especially hymns but I tell people I sing "tenor" ten or eleven off key. It is so awesome to hear her "sing" and right on key!
Sue has a service dog that goes with her everywhere she goes.
I ordered her book from Amazon and I recommend if you love to read, buy a copy of "Silent Night".

LolahReviewed in the United Kingdom on February 7, 20165.0 out of 5 stars Beautiful
Beautiful book, telling the story of Sue Thomas. She lost her hearing aged c.1 year but, thanks to the pushing of her parents and a lot of coaching from the Iron Witch, she learnt to speak and read lips. This meant she was able to have somewhat of a normal life, including working for the FBI - about which a TV program has been made: Sue Thomas, FB Eye, which is how I learnt about her. However, she doesn't go into a great detail about that time in the book, instead concentrating on the rest of her life, including post-FBI when she helped set up a charity for deaf people.
This is a great book, beautifully written and telling the story of a wonderful woman. Definitely worth a read. Just a shame there's not a book about her fbi time, and you can't get her second book, about coping with her MS (including its effects on her sight, and what that means to her as a deaf woman), here in the UK
