In 2003, the northern Finnish city of Oulu was what foreigners imagined such a city would be: calm, quiet and very ‘Finnish.’ By December 2018, the whole country was convulsed by Oulu’s Muslim Child Grooming Scandal. In The Silent Rape Epidemic, Dutton argues that the explanation lies in Finns’ evolutionary past. Adapted to extreme cold and predictability, they are fiercely intelligent, extraordinarily cooperative, highly rule following, silent, and socially anxious. This makes them naively trusting, conformist and prone to imitating others. Perfectly adapted to their environment, these traits are combined with a miniscule gene pool, meaning very few intelligence or personality outliers who might dare to challenge the Spirit of the Age. The intense Darwinian selection to which they’ve been subjected, and their late industrialization, has delayed the rise of nihilism, which arises when nations industrialize and selection pressures are weakened. But the nature of Finnishness means that Multiculturalism has now overwhelmed Finland with astonishing speed. However, all is not lost. Dutton finds that if the Finns truly want to save the Suomi of sauna and Sibelius, then they are, ironically, uniquely well-adapted to reverse their country’s destruction.

Really enjoyed the book, which you can think of as a detailed case study encompassing many of the concepts contained within "At Our Wits' End: Why We're Becoming Less Intelligent and What it Means for the Future". My only minor gripe is that the editing is not as polished as that book, but the subject matter is fascinating enough that you probably won't care much. Read both books, watch The Jolly Heretic on YouTube, and you will learn a lot.

Concluding arguments have nothing to do with the thesis

The book is more of an introduction to the history of Finland, good historical information, but, one of the concluding arguments centers around socioeconomic status as an explanation for rape, which is one of several factors that is true regardless of non homogeneity of race, rich muslims are not going to rape, a point the author omits. He basically says poor women are easy.

A very interesting read on this subject, that we know is going to be an ongoing issue across Europe .
I have read a number of books on this very issue, including reading the whole Jay report, which covers the mass rape of young girls by Muslim men in Rotherham.
This book comes at the subject matter from a bit of a different angle , namely WHY nations are letting this insidious, disgusting problem of localised on street grooming, which is disproportionately carried out by Muslim men on under age white Christian girls, is happening. No matter how the Governments and PC dogma try to twist numbers, and hide these statistics, it IS happening .

Now, this book looks at why Western Nations have developed, and been conditioned over the centuries to accept this abominable crime against their most vulnerable children . How the Psyche and culture of the Fins, has allowed this to become covered up, and it is again, hardly punished, and again covered up....the "SILENT" being the operative word here.

I found the last couple of chapters VERY interesting , where he discusses WHY these men from Muslim countries come to the West and part take in such crimes . I have always hoped that this abhorrent crime would be weeded out of our Western societies in time . But no....it is sadly to stay , and will only get worse. But at least having some understanding of WHY this is happening , from a societal victim, and societal perpetrator of the crime, point of view is very interesting.

Does it make it anymore palatable ? No ! But a brilliant book written on this worrying subject matter from a completely different point of view. The root cause !!
