Ms. Cherry this is your best to date. Sweet stars my heart. You should have included a coupon for Kleenex and glue to piece my heart back together. Beautiful words.

Maggie fell in love with a boy named Brooks. At 10 she planned a wedding for them and a whole life. Brooks hated the girl with the ugly smile and ugly voice. Yet he talked to her often after all he's her brothers best friend. Then one day tragedy strikes when Brooks was running late to meet Maggie May. From there her voice was stolen. Brooks slowly falls for Maggie despite her self imposed prison sentence. This is the story of their rise and fall and their redemption.

This book was packed with feels. I had tears at times I tried to disguise as allergies!! Sitting alone in a corner crying is kind of frowned upon. Oh oh that moment when the puzzle came together did me in! I mean hello I never seen that coming!! I always see things coming. My heart also goes out to the author for that story about herself at the end. Kids can be cruel and unkind. My son has speech issues. So please read this book! Have tissues and a happy movie handy for after!!!

"If only people with perfect pasts were supposed to be happy, then no love would ever exist."

"Being in love with someone didn’t mean you only loved them during the sunbeams. It meant you stood by their side during the cloudy nights, too."
4.5 "you are my anchor" stars!!! I floved this book!!! It was utterly beautiful yet heartbreaking!! The childhood love between Maggie and Brooks was EPIC!!! I loved their soul searing connection, and OMG my heart broke so many times for their lost time!!! Their HEA was so much deserved and I was left with huge heart achy FEELS!!!

+10 stars!!!
ARC provide by the author in exchange for an honest opinion.
The truth is that the books of Brittainy improve as time passes.
A book completely perfect. You can not ask more of the author.
The book takes us through the story of two friends who fall in love since childhood, they go through a moments traumantes and then their friendship becomes stronger through the years.
Maggie and Brooks pass through a number of difficult and so harrowing situations that still causes me a lump in my throat.
The unforgettable moments are so many that do not even know which name. Would have to name most of the book.
the truth is that for me is one of the best books I've read this year.
Brittainy has the power to guide us through a roller coaster of emotions in all her books, but certainly this is a masterpiece.
Anguish, pain, loyalty, chemistry, friendship, love, nonetheless.
and supporting characters are vital key in history.
I really taked so long to review because I could not describe the beauty of this book, I was very short indeed.
super recommended.

When I began this book I just knew from Brittany's previous books that this one would not be an easy one but I pushed on and then stopped! I knew just from what I read that I couldn't go into this one alone so I called in the help of a friend to read it with me. Thank God for my friend Misty, bc it helped to have a shoulder to lean on with this one. The Silent Waters completely took me under. Totally consumed where nothing existed but me and this book. This is not going to be a review where I tell you about the book, no, this is to tell you about the research and time that had to have went into compiling this beautifully scripted story together. Absolutely phenomenal work and dedication into the mind of a little girl that couldn't speak for herself.

The love story between the two main characters was engrossing. They had endless chemistry and their interactions were well-written and swooth-worthy. The story arch was a bit weak, and I've noticed that Cherry's books seem to climax extremely close to the end of the book, so they tend to be rushed or somewhat anticlimactic. That's not to say that this isn't a great romantic read. If you can filter out the rushed ending, you're left with a meaty love story that requires some stretch to the imagination, but what romance book doesn't?

There was one truly distracting issue with Cherry's writing that if I could change any one thing about her books it would be this: throw the following word combination out of your vocabulary "due to".

I gave this book 5 stars because of the writing. I have read all and only one received 3 stars. Freya Barker writes in a similar way. The feelings imparted are very raw. Written in absolute detail. If you have been there then you understand fully.
I took issue with the length of time of the muteness and agoraphobia. Where was a therapist was to help her for 20 years? No one's voice returns the was hers did. It's usually croaky.
Also the amount of pain a person is in after said person has the type of accident that happened. That person recovered way too fast. The nurse doesn't give you a sleeping pill. You sleep from being doped up with pain meds! I'm surprised her editors didn't catch those oversights or mistakes.

OMG. This book. It shredded me and built me back up. It broke my heart and then healed it.

This is going to be a VERY short review. I don't want to give a single thing away. I want EVERY PERSON to read this book.

Brittainy Cherry's writing is phenomenal. This story, these characters, those plot twists? OMG.

If you ever follow my recommendations, just freaking buy this and trust that it is one of the best books that you'll ever read.

The story of Maggie and Brooks lasts about thirty – full of slow changes and sudden turns – years. In the prologue we get to know them as delightful children and by the epilogue we get to say goodbye to a happy married couple. From an innocent crush developed a lifetime long love & devotion; however from one to another the road was rather rugged. There were sweet, touching and romantic moments on the other hand we didn’t lack terrifying, disappointing and painful moments either. But all these moments united into one marvelous journey. A journey which is best to experience yourself therefore I won’t spoil anymore about it.
Instead let me mention a few little things which contributed to not just only like the book, but straight up love it. There are tons of these buzzing in my head, demanding me to proclaim them from the housetop since everybody needs to know about what magic hides on these pages. Such as the messages between the ten years old Maggie and Brook. Or the very lame dad who surprisingly has very cute jokes. The love for music and books. Oh dear those stunning books! The yellow page markers next to the pink tabs. Those „Dance with me?” moments and those „five-minutes”. The telling silences and the more expressive hand squeeze. The god awful teas and the anchor-shaped medal. The promises and the words left on the board which cannot be erased. Those kisses, those hugs… Oh I know that this is awfully confusing, since these are just moments out of their context but these are the moments which craft into an unforgettable story which stole my heart!
So yeah, this book is simply amazing. Beautifully written story which drags you with it spiced with likeable characters and deep thoughts crafted with lyrical beauty. I laughed at it, and then I was nearly in tears a couple times. It touched my soul broke my heart a little and scared me big time however made me happy at the same time. However… overall it made me feel indescribable joy since I had the chance to read this bliss of a novel. The treat of this marvelous book will always be a part of me.

6 Glorious Stars!!!!!!

This book is an absolute revelation. It is heartbreaking and devastating while also being wildly romantic and incredibly hopeful. Maggie and Brooks could possibly be one of my favorite couples I've ever read. I'm taking about ever in my entire life. Their story is unbelievably touching and pulled on my heartstrings like never before.

Maggie is so beautiful. She is stronger than she will ever truly realize. Her resilience is admirable. Her pain is real. And with every single page that passed I felt it. I felt her.

Brooks was so outstanding. He was swoony but not because his description was aesthetically pleasing . He was a swoon-worthy hero because he was completely selfless, honorable, and caring. I was completely blown away by his love for Maggie. I was completely blown away by his patience. He was everything I didn't know I needed and so much more.

Their story is timeless. This couple is timeless. This author is timeless. Her words are gorgeous, thought-provoking, and just lair. a fine wine: they get better with age. With every single turn of the page I was more and more impressed. You will do nothing but read this book once you start. It will capture your heart and soul.

With a story like this, writing like this, and characters like this, you simply cannot lose. And this masterpiece? This is the definition of winning. Don't just read it, inhale it. Drown in it. I did and the only moment I regretted was having to come up for air.
