This flash drive was nothing like what I expected it to be. To start off, it is very wide. If you have two adjacent USB ports like I do, you will only be able to use one of them while the flash drive is plugged in. As for the actual performance, this was actually slower than a USB 2.0 Sandisk flash drive that I have. While I don't have any USB 3.0 ports, that still doesn't explain why this drive was slower than my USB 2.0 flash drive. I'm sorry I didn't calculate the actual read/write speeds; I sent this right back after I realized how clunky and slow this was despite how it was advertised. I would not buy this again.

needed a large capacity drive for some VMware images I'm using in my computer classes. Based on experience with a 32gb drive from SP, I thought I would give them a go. Good price but not the cheapest. However, that's where the likes end. I tried to copy my virtual appliances. When it got to one that was 8gb is size, it failed. Got a "file to large for drive format". I checked and it was formatted in the exFAT format. Tried to format it using NTFS. It failed. used their util to format it to FAT32 (but ended up exFAT) Windows will not format this thing. So, it's useless at this point for my needs. I'm waiting to contact customer support but at this point, I won't be recommending this product to my classmates or future needs unless I just have a bad unit.

Pro: large capacity. Price was average

Con: Came formatted in exFAT. Failed to handle a large file (8GB). Unable to format using windows disk manager and even SP's format util won't format it to NTFS. As far as I'm concerned. Drive is DOA. Not good for such a large capacity drive. Cheap plastic thin chrome case. Seems really fragile.

The 64GB Silicon Power Marvel M60 provides great speed at a great price. It is a sturdy unit that I won't have to worry about keeping in my pocket with keys. The capless design is nice, and the USB connector locks in place securely when extended. Size wise, it's thin and an average length. I will say it is a bit wider than a typical flash drive. It doesn't block the USB port next to it, but it comes close. There's not enough room for a flash drive in the neighboring USB port, but there is still room for a cable to plug in next to it. Not a deal breaker for me, but something other buyers should be aware of.

Performance of the flash drive is excellent. Not quite as fast as the SanDisk Extreme, but close. It not only meets, but exceeds the manufacturer's rated speed of 180/85 MB/sec! Speed test results:

I got this drive to use in my computer, Netgear router, and Samsung Smart TV. In my computer, it is a very fast drive and works very good in my computer but I found that my computer is the only place I can use it. The default file system on it is exFat and it will not format to NTFS. I think it also loads drivers for it to be used and that's why it won't work on my router or TV plus the format. I have other 64 Gb USB drives and I can format those in NTFS. I found that my router will only read NTFS for drives larger than 32 Gb and was hoping this faster drive would work but it doesn't. Samsung Smart TV won't read it either.

I wish the hardware makers would have a meeting and get some standards together so everything wouldn't be a guess as to whether it will work in different things.

Can not format the drive to NTFS using various utilities, methods (command line) and Disk Management tricks. The drive can only be format to Fat32 or exFAT. Otherwise the drive is fast 201MBps read and 90MBps write sequential. The MFG offers lifetime warranty & offered to replace but did not offer to pay for return shipping so I'm still debating if i want to keep it or not and send it back to amazon.

ATTO Disk Benchmark on 8192/256 setting, large file transfer:

USB 3.0 Benchmark Result:
Write @ 100,349 or 97.997 MB/sec
Raad @ 116,976 or 114.224 MB/sec

USB 3.0 real world copying:
84MB/sec to 85MB/sec sustained over a 4GB single video file copy from ESATA external harddrive.

90MB/sec WRITE speed from RAMDISK (faster than any SSD)... it's a OMG
Just added (updated): Dec-2-2013, I copied 20GB worth of videos files INTO my 2013 11.3" Macbook Air @ 215MB/sec!! over just USB 3.0 interface. Macbook Air is writing @ 245MB/sec.

I am very satisfied with its performance!

UNKNOWN: RELIABILITY, the casing feels fleemsy, really cheap feel to the light weight thin plastic, although the look deceives. That's my only complaint. I wish they put in real metal titantium casing. ;-)
