When used correctly it works great! I took off a star because it does stain easily even with correct use.
Warning - Do not use this with the broiler and keep the temperature under 400F. My husband used it without knowing the instructions and it started a fire in the oven. Oy! If this happens, keep the oven door closed. You don't want more oxygen in because it will feed the fire. If you must, throw baking soda over the flame to quench it. That's what we had to do.

Love my Silicone Baking Mats!

I used parchment paper. Not any more! How did I not get this sooner?
I have air bake sheet pans, Wilton sheet pans, cheap sheet pans, a fancy computerized gas oven. I still wasn't getting the premium results that I should have gotten with all these accouterments. When I used the Silicone Baking Mat, my biscuits and cookies turned out perfectly. Evenly golden and exactly right, fluffy biscuits. Sugar cookies are just as they should be, soft but not gooey, crisp but not crunchy. I like my baking mats and highly recommend them to every baker.
I was actually looking for a baking stone when I came across the Silicone Mats and decided to try them out. So glad that I bought the mats. One little thing, the mats are about an inch wider than my cookie sheets, but that isn't a problem for me. The biscuits run about a dozen per dough batch, so they fit just fine. I always end up with 2 -3 cookies too many for the pan, so now I have 5 - 6 instead because I don't place cookies on the slight curve where the mat goes over the edge of the pan. All good, my second baking batch has a few more cookies. Reviews and questions consistently discourage cutting the mats because of the fiberglass web in between the silicone layers. So, cutting mats is not a good thing. I admit, the width of the mat being slightly wider than my cookie sheets does tweak my OCD tendencies, but don't cut the mats.
Clean up is so easy. I rinse the mat under hot water and really, that's all it needs. Then I wipe the mat down with a clean damp cloth and a clean dry towel and done. Now, where to store it. Hmmm . . . I tore the mat box up because the mats were so tightly fitted into the box, so not an option. I use an empty 1 gallon plastic bag box, perfect fit for storage.

Non-stick for baked goods, no-slip on the pan

The thing I hate most about parchment paper is having to wrestle with the annoying curling. How in the world does anyone uncurled it and keep it flat on a baking sheet? Anyway, enough was enough and I resorted to looking for silicone baking mat. This was my first time baking with silicone products and I was quite dubious. However, I am very happy with the product.

I like how the corners are cut. The mats fit very well within my 11x17 jelly roll pan, that actually measures 11.5 x 16.5 (go figure). Initially I thought rounded corners on the mat would be much more pleasing than the 45-degree cut but upon closer examination, I realized my pan actually curves upward. If the mat had rounded corners, the corners would be elevated. Not sure it makes any difference to anyone...

With all it's non-stick properties, the mat is actually non-slip when on the pan. This came as a pleasant surprise to me. Unlike parchment paper that slides around, this mat stays in place.

First test was chocolate chip cookies. I cheated and used Pilsbury dough. The cookies definitely slide off the pan much more easily than parchment paper. Other than that, no discernable difference to me.

Second test was French macaron shells using the oven's convection feature. The shell batter spreads out much more evenly on this mat than on parchment paper. However, I did have to leave the shells in the oven a little bit longer. As finicky as macarons are, my gut feel tells me the mat absorbed some of the heat which caused the longer bake time but I don't have any scientific evidence. It did feel like the shells took longer to cool than it previously did on parchment paper. I'm not sure if that's because I was feeling antsy.

Cleaning is easy. I just use a soft sponge with the mat still in the pan. Nothing sticks.

I bought these to go with the Winware ALXP-1318 Commercial Half-Size Sheet Pans, Set of 2 (13-Inch x 18-Inch, Aluminum) that I had bought to replace the ruined and rusted cookie sheets we have been using. I am not a professional baker but I was a Chef and despite being retired I still do all the cooking. It is nice to have the equipment I am used to working with but even as a non-professional will quickly see how superior these pans and mats are to whatever methods they had been using before.
The Silicone baking pads are everything they claim. my cookies lifted right off with no added grease on the pan and that cuts calories. Even in a high heat situation, my pizza slid right off almost as nice as a stone but without the cleanup.
I am so glad I found these and would recommend them to anyone at any level of cooking skill Peter S.

Skeptic here. I have been holding on buying these for years. For awhile they were much more expensive. Then there were some concerns about the plastic and leeching... The I was just convinced that they would somehow change the flavor of whatever I was baking.

I finally broke down and bought these and they are AMAZING! Totally non-stick, the cookies slid right off. Flavor was delicious even without that little extra butter they normally get. Easy to clean and now my pans will last much longer. Excellent price for the pair.

They don't fit perfectly in my rimmed pan but I don't think they are exactly half sheets.

Better than my Slipat from France. These arrived beautifully boxed and packaged. I have been using them for a couple of months making bread, pizza, and scones regularly. I consider myself a guru in baking and hence recommend these silicone baking mats to all who love baking! They seem durable, I've been using them for over a month now, there are a few discolorations that have formed and they are permanently a little bit greasy, even if i wash with hot soapy water but I still love them and have found them easy to use and store!

The non stick coating on these sheets are great, but I find that they aren't as thick as other options. Not a huge issue, but I feel that it potentially might not be as durable. But for the cost still excellent value and I would recommend. After using the sheets clean quickly, way better than using parchment paper.
