Puck & Becca
Joanna Wylde is back for the attack with her newest release in a brand new series. The Silver Bastards are rude and crude and hot as hell. This book deals with many shady subjects so if you're a prude and can't handle explicit language, strong sexual content, and some major offensive illegal acts, then put this book down and move on to something more foo foo... If you're like me and can't get enough of that stuff... stay tuned... you're gonna wanna read this one... more than once!!!!
Puck Redhouse is a criminal in the truest sense of the word. Just getting out of jail, serving time to protect his club, he's definitely a Silver Bastard through and through. At first it seems to be all business but of course there's always time for a BJ and maybe a quicky. He seems to have a level head on his shoulders and I'm fairly certain he knows right from wrong but when put in a sticky situation he does what he thinks is right. We may not all agree with that but I believe in his heart he felt he was doing the right thing.
Becca Jones is just a baby forced into a life that would have killed most of us. She grew up knowing nothing but the club. Her friends were whores, her family seemed more like an employer, and any chance for an escape seemed unfeasible. Although forced to live this life and all that it entailed... she stayed strong for herself and I believe a little bit for the jerkface mother that offered her daughter up like a sacrificial lamb. Quite honestly I would have left skid marks trying to get away from that evil jerk of a mother, but not Becca, she still held on to the reality that this was her mother and this was her life. Ugh!
Excellent supporting cast.Read more ›
This is the first in the series, a spin-off from the Reapers series. It does involve an MC, the Silver Bastards MC but it is not centred around the MC.
This is the story of Becca who has lived a pretty sh*tty existence with her druggy mother and rapist step-father until one night she meets Puck. Puck has just gotten out of prison that day, he shared a cell with Painter from the Reapers series and the Reapers and Silver Bastards are throwing a party for them both to celebrate their release. Puck sets his sights on Becca early on in the night and she appears to return his interest. Only, unbeknownst to Puck, Becca has been forced into keeping him company for the night by her step-father. This all comes out the next morning along with the revelation that she's only just 16 years of age. Puck is disgusted that this young girl was forced into being with him and he risks himself and his MC brothers and takes Becca home with him to get her away from her step-father. Five years on and Becca has a life of her own, freedom and a feeling of security she never had before. Puck is a constant in her life although they aren't close or even friends, there is an awkwardness between them due to their past and Becca is actually rather scared of him at the same time as feeling safe knowing he watches out for her. When situations arise that throw Puck and Becca together it becomes clear that there are some unresolved feelings there. Puck is not a straightforward guy, he doesn't make it easy to like him right off the bat, he's arrogant and cocky and can be a downright douche but he's also hot as hell! Becca is an amazing character, she makes it hard not to love her, she's been through hell and yet surprisingly she doesn't dwell on her past.Read more ›
Puck Redhouse spent fourteen months in jail to protect the Silver Bastards MC from their enemies. There was never any question for him, he would die to protect his brothers a little time in prison was nothing. When he was free though it was time to get his reward for his loyalty, full membership and a party including lots of booze and beautiful women for Puck to get lost in that is when he laid eyes on Becca Jones. She was sweet and innocent soft in all the right places exactly the fantasy girl that kept him sane while he was away. Little did he know his attraction would nearly cause him to go back to prison and having had a taste of Becca he would never be the same. He rescues her, protects her, loves her from a far but in the end he knows he won’t be able to live without her. Now all he has to do is convince Becca that he is the man she needs.
“You need to get this straight, Becca.” Puck said slowly. “You’re mine. You seem to think that’s still up for debate- it’s not.” I’ve claimed you and the club agreed. That’s how it works in my world. End of story.”
Once again, Joanna Wylde hits it out of the park with this first installment of her new Silver Valley series. Though the book does have plenty of hot bikers to keep our hearts pounding, the new characters she introduces us to as the residents of Silver Valley promise to take us on a wild ride.
In this book, we get to know Puck Redhouse who we met in Reapers Stand. Puck and Painter serve fourteen months together and they develop a strong bond. I have to say the prologue seriously starts with a bang, my mouth literally dropped open at the end. Joanna really knows how to get a reader hooked.Read more ›
