I bought this case to house a new PC to replace an HP that died for one of my parents. I managed to salvage quite a few parts from the HP, so the budget on this build was a little higher than would otherwise be the case. I chose this case for the build based on the following qualities:
-Decent airflow (no need for anything extreme, the build just has a Phenom II X4 945 at stock and a 9500GT as the key heat producers)
-Silence (within reason)
-Zero reliance on side-based intake/exhaust (actually, a set-up like Silverstone's Raven cases where the motherboard is rotated and air comes in the bottom and out the top would have been best for environmental needs, but $150 was well over budget)
-Ease of maintenance

I opted to configure the case with a full complement of five fans (the one included exhaust fan and I bought an additional four fans; I got a Silverstone FN-121 for the front intake, which is the same fan the case comes with for exhaust; I used ZeroTherm ZT-120Fs for the remaining three fans, as the Silverstone FN-121s are sleeve bearing fans and don't like being parallel to the ground). Even with this configuration, the case does a great job at remaining silent- sitting in the office chair, I only hear the CPU heatsink fan and/or CD/DVD drive- a notable improvement from the HP case which ran off a single 80mm exhaust fan. The key is that none of fans in the case need to be high RPM for the build I went for.

Installing the extra fans was a little tougher than expected.

the audio ports on the top of the unit are all scratchy and staticy. Everything about it is cheap...which is what I thought I wanted, but you really notice it with this case. If you want to cut your hands on stuff and roll the dice on whether the audio ports will work...go for it. I still use it, but I wish I would have spent a little more on a case. Also, the case fan that came with it died within the first year.

This case is very spacious with room for wire management behind the motherboard tray. The power supply is mounted on the bottom of the case, which can be an issue for some motherboard and PSU combinations as the power cable is not long enough to reach from the bottom to the top where the motherboard is located. There are abundant locations to mount fans. The postioning of the power/reset and USB ports on the top of the case is also a nice touch. One drawback of this case is the lack of HDD/Power led indicators. One other note, SILVERSTONE sent me a rebate check in less than 2 weeks after submission, this has been the quickest and most hassle free experience I had with any manufacturer...KUDOS to SILVERSTONE for excellent customer service and producing such an excellent product.

This case worked great for the general use/gaming PC I just built, AMD Phenom II X6 1055T with Asus AMD 870 chipset motherboard, Cooler Master CPU Cooler, 4GB of ADATA RAM and an ATI Radeon HD Radeon HD5570 soon to be upgraded to a 6xxx.

The only thing I could think of is that if you are planning on using a large CPU cooler with a 120MM fan this case might not be wide enough. I used a Cooler Master TX3 which has a 92 MM Fan and it fit with some room to spare.

This case in my opinion is attractive and well built for the price point, I like it better than my Antec 300. Wiring can be bit tricky with no built in channel under the motherboard for wires but with wire ties and some time I found plenty of holes to attach the wires running up along side the motherboard. When you turn it on and are in a dark or dim lit room the front pannel prouces a subtle dim blue glow from above the Silverstone logo which I like very much.

As for cooling it works well with one singel 120 mm fan in the back, yet has plenty of room for upgrade with two more mounts on top, one on the bottom and one on the front.

All in all a fine deal !

For the price... this is one great case. Sure, the metal is thin, and some plastic flimsy, but it's just got a great simple and effective design. Lots of fan options. (2 in top, one in front, and I think two below) Rear fan included and quiet. I'm not going to go on forever, but I'm happy with the purchase and will def consider Silverstone in future builds.

With all these huge "gaming" cases on the market, the simple, elegant case designs are hard to find at a decent price nowadays.

I've always admired Silverstone cases for their build quality and nice designs, so for a client build, I decided to go with this model.

For the most part, it's a nice case and I really want to like it but...

#1 - Cable Management - I'm used to the extra space behind the motherboard tray to hide extra power cables (Cooler Master & NZXT have plenty of space). From the pictures, it looks like there is enough space to hide cables. Unfortunately, the case is way too narrow so there is not enough space behind the mb tray. I could hide maybe one or two cables, but that's it!

#2 - Hard Disk Rack - This area is poorly designed. After inserting the hard drive (what's with the strange 2 brackets holding the hard disk in place?) the sata cable and sata power plugs protrude from the insertion point. The power sata is not angled so closing the case door pushes against the cable. An angled sata cable barely fits as well. This is due to the narrow design of the case again.

#3 - Please... no more LEDs - I'm not sure what type of case this tries to be, but its definitely not a gaming case! So please get rid of the front LED lights!

Overall, I gave this case 3 stars for being decent, nice quality from Silverstone, but with a few problems others may overlook.
