The fan runs very quiet, not really audible inside the case. It’s obviously much quieter than my 5 year old stock cooler.
1) Install requires removal of the board from your case.
2) I recommend working some thermal paste into the surface of the cooler and careful wiping off the excess without any solvent. Then do your normal dot of thermal paste on the CPU and screw it down. There are some small grooves where the copper runs through the cooler/cpu contact point and there are small gaps. Doing it like this will ensure you fill in those grooves.
I was initially using an old-model AMD Stealth CPU cooler, and it wasn't remotely doing the job. Idle temps with HWINFO (CPU Package TSI - the temps inside the CPU cores) were around 60 degrees C, and under load it was getting as high as 82 degrees C. That's obviously too hot. There's only so much I can do about the airflow in that case, so replacing the CPU cooler was my best option.
It's a very small mATX case, 3.8" wide. CPU cooler clearance is an issue. I wasn't sure if this Silverstone cooler would fit, but it turned out to be almost exactly the same height as the other cooler, so clearance wasn't a problem. RAM clearance wasn't an issue either, it's not a large unit. Installation on the FM2 socket board wasn't difficult at all - I've done much worse. It has brackets that will fit Intel and AMD boards of a variety of sockets. Included thermal paste is decent Thermaltake stuff, nothing special though.
So I put it all back together and powered it on, ran a video and did some stress tests... Idle CPU temps around 45-50 C range, under load it's 60-65 range. Not bad at all. That AMD chip runs a little hot normally, so those temps are acceptable to me. It's a 15-20 C improvement over the previous cooler, and it's dead silent to boot.
I'm very happy with this one, and would definitely recommend it for SFF builds. I'l definitely use this one again on future builds.
When the fan is running full speed, it can get load but not annoying. Overall, good product, had my doubts but it does the best it can for in my case (pun intended). If you have a mid tower with a lot more air flow, go for a bigger heat sink or AIO, if you’re limited in space, this is a good cooler.
Very very easy to install and remove.
A bit high but good enough...but the noise was simply too much to bear. Enter the Silverstone AR06, with its 92mm fan it barely fit in there. Temps are now @ 50c under full load. Very quite, can't even hear it and installation wasn't difficult at all with the motherboard taken out
However, I ended up returning this because when/if I did put my CPU under load and the fan ramped up, it was quite noisy but that wasn't the cooler's fault. It was the ASRock DeskMini 310. Due to the small size of the case, the fan was right up against the ventilation holes so it caused A LOT of turbulent noise which made the cooler incredibly loud.

installation requires removal of the motherboard unless your case has a cutout hole (mine does not) and is a little tricky to secure to the board.
One screw was missing; there were supposed to be 4 screws to attach the mounting arms to the base of the cooler but there were 3 screws that fit, and then one odd one that wasn't even the same thread or shape of screw. I've no idea what that one was for.
Luckily, the screws use the same thread as one you'd use to secure a hard drive in a laptop, and I had plenty of those lying around to use in its place.
-1 star for being a little fidgety to install, and the missing screw. Once installed though, it's perfect.
La instalacion es algo mas laboriosa que otros disipadores , como el Gemin II M4,pero el fan del AR06 de silverstone es mejor y trabaja más silencioso,asi que si quieres un buen disipador para gabinetes slim,este es buena opcion,ademas de que tiene envio gratis.
Con el cooler de Intel un i5 2400 trabajaba sobre los 70c en un gabinete hp slimline
Con este disipador bajó hasta los 53c la temperatura y en idle no pasa de 36c prácticamente con las rpm al mínimo por lo que puedes ver vídeos o películas sin distraerte con el ruido del equipo
La colocación del enfriador fue más complicado de lo que se esperaba, y aunque el modelo que se anuncia en la página oficial indica compatibilidad con LGA 1151, la versión que estás viendo en estos momentos, no lo es.
Después de la colocación, la temperatura era 50 °C, en la prueba antes de poner los componentes en el gabinete.
Por el precio deberías buscar otro producto.
