IR light is pretty bright
Comes with a bracket (although not pictured for some reason)
Light is more of a spotlight beam than a wide-area flood light which seems to be the norm
Does not accept external batteries (ex: AA)
Internal rechargeable battery is not replaceable (once it finally dies the light is done)
Will not work while AC charger is plugged in (Sima is coming out with the SL-100IR which will work while plugged in but still will not accept external batteries)
Long charge time (2.5 - 3 hours)
Short life-span per charge (~45 minutes)
My advice is don't drop this light. It is made entirely of plastic and weighs almost nothing. I can't imagine it handling even a small drop very well. For the price this does the job. Compared to the price of the Sony HVLIRM Battery IR Light for DCR-DVD101, 201, 301, 105, 205, 305, 405, 505, DCR-HC21, 32 42, 26, 36, 46 & 96 Camcorders I will probably always replace my IR lights with the Sima unless I find something else in the same price range that allows for AA batteries.

The batteries last about 1 hour each use and takes about 2 hours to recharge. The batteries cannot be removed and it will be difficult to remove them if ever needed to replace the rechargeable batteries. It's been working for about 25 full 1 hour runs without a hitch, so I have nothing to complain about so far with the battery.
It comes packaged with a straight bracket. The bracket attaches to the tripod mount on the camera or camcorder and has one accessory shoe.
For a light in the $25 - $30 range, I am satisfied with its compact size, well built housing and it's rechargeable batteries. Some camcorders cannot shoot in complete darkness even with an IR light array, so check that your model does before purchasing.
One other note; The LEDs glow red and give an errie and cool glow that let you definitely know that the unit is on. Very distinctive and adds an extra cool factor!
A five out of five for Sima.
Battery life is average, maybe 1.5hours of non-stop use. Charges quick and no dead LED's yet.
Fair warning this light only works with cameras that can see IR light, such as Sony camcorders equiped with "Nightshot, or Super Nightshot mode"
