This scope is awesome! I got this scope and mounted it onto a Ruger 10/22 Tactical model rifle. I can hit everything now. The zoom is very smooth and works great. I have tried many scopes, but the zoom on this scope worked better and smoother that any of the other ones I tried.

The adjustment dials are very fine which makes sighting a rifle very accurate. It looks great and performs like a champ. You can spend more only to achieve the same quality. For the price of this scope on Amazon, I don't think you will be able to find a better scope.

**Note** This scope does not come with mounting clamps so those will need to be ordered separately if you need them. I got a set of "AccuShot Premium 1-Inch Weaver Style See-Thru Medium Profile Rings " and they worked great with this scope.

Put this scope on a Mini-14 - took it out to the range and let me wife do some plinking. Had it zeroed within minutes and after about 60 rounds, everything held true. Eye relief is about what I expected for a < $100 scope, but visibility is still goodl. I have several different brands of scopes (including high dollar Leupolds and Nikons) and on a range, this scope performs just as well as the others. It's not a competition scope, or long-range hunting scope - it's a scope to put on your plinking gun. But then again, i'm sure it would hunt just fine.

Bottom line - if you can't afford the high-dollar scopes, or you want a good scope for a low-valued rifle - this scope is the winning ticket.

I like this scope. It's like the little scope that could. Surprisingly bright and crisp and clear view at any price. Look a the price and go WOW. No, you don't always need the scope that breaks the bank. You just need the one that will bring the deer into clear view and hold a zero so you can shoot as well as you are able to. If you are a trained sniper go buy a high dollar scope for 1000 yards or more that your rifle and your training let you shoot. On my old rifles and with my skills I just want that white tail in the locker on the way home and this scope let's me save enough money I can actually afford to go hunting with my 30 year old 3MOA rifles.

I bought this to put on my new Ruger 10/22. I actually sent the 1st one back as the finish around the objective lens was a bit scratched. No scratches on the lens and the function seemed fine, but I expected it to be in 1st quailty new condition. The second one came within a day and the fit and finish were much better. I used Weaver 4 point aluminum rings to mount it. It fit very well and is secure. Also, it is light which is nice. Although it is does not feature an adjustable objective, it is very clear all the way from 3x to 9x and has a focus ring at the eye piece. It offers very good eye relief with a nice recticle. Also, it picks up a lot of light especially given the price. The windage adjustments are very precise with a nice click for each setting. The elevation is good but not as precise as the windage. Both adjusments have nice caps that are easy to screw on and off and have a nice knob that can easily be grabbed and turned with your forefinger and thumb. I have only been to the range once with it. Took about 5 minutes to site in at 50yrds. Usually with a 22lr, I wouldn't mess with the windage and elevation once set, but I tried it out to see if it was accurate. Both worked extremely well and it held a good zero. I am glad I choose this Simmons over a less know name that offered more features (some just novelty). The clarity and zoom are excellent for the price of the scope. The eye relief is very good. I don't think the other no names that offered twice the magnification would be nearly as clear at any setting. For my purposes, I really like it. After a few hundred rounds and carrying it around, I will have a better idea if this scope can be used for more than just the range. If so, I will buy another for one of my centerfire rifles.Read more ›

The scope is very well made. The optics are quite clear at all magnifications. The paralax adjustment on the eyepiece allows for easy focusing of the reticle to ones own eyes. Its very light weight and appears to be quite solid. The elevation/windage adjustments work flawlessly. Smooth movements and solid locking. Very happy with the scope.

I shoot when I can, at my friends house or at the range. I do not hunt, nor do I plan to enter any competitions, so this scope is perfect for me. It took a bit to get sighted in, but its mounted on an SKS and I was using very cheap, Russian surplus ammo which could attribute to that factor. Got it sighted in after about 20 rounds (but I was just turning the nobs to what I felt necessary instead of paying attention to how much each 1/4 turn was supposed to move at "X" distance, since I couldn't tell you what "X" distance was or even at what distance I was. As I said, if you just want a nice variable zoom scope for shooting water bottles and paper targets I would recommend this scope to you.

Nice optics, but when I tried to sight in the scope, the adjustment knobs didn't click. Initially even a quarter turn failed to move the trajectory any. It continued to be hit or miss, with some turns on both the horizontal and vertical adjustments moving the trajectory and some not. Still no clicks from either adjustment knob, but after much frustration and many quarter turns of the adjustment knobs, I was able to get the rifle zeroed. It remains to be seen whether the scope will hold a zero. I will probably send it back for fear that it will not hold a zero.
