By Michael Kerner HALL OF FAMEVINE VOICE on March 3, 2015
There is honestly no question about Elton John. His songs have honestly stood the test of time much further than most any artist of today, not just because of the brilliance of his music, with Bernie Taupin's lyrics. It is honestly because the songs that he has co-written for years have sounded much better than all the junk music that is on radio today. Back in the 90's honestly is the distinctive time when he got his heart back again, and beat a lot of addiction and abuse that he endured throughout his life. Simple Life, which appeared on his album The One is honestly one my favorite songs he had released, but heavily overlooked in his career. It is a very upbeat and vibrant song that is a delight to listen to. While it was heavily overlooked, it still stands and sounds much better than most of the music of today, and a joyous ode to beating addiction and abuse. It is one of his best songs from the 90's, and a die hard treat for any Elton John fan.
