This cup is beautiful, (I got the blue), and very sturdy. The one lid that you use a straw with has an opening like on a lid at a fast food place, but better since it is rubber? or silicon? so when I take it to work, i don't put the straw in until I get there because the little opening does NOT let liquid spill. It keeps my ice tea cold from 5:30am until 4:30 when I go home, and it is still cold. I just wash it by hand at the end of the day and it is ready to go for the next day. The 2nd lid that comes with it is one that you wouldn't use a straw, just drink right from the cup. It has a "lid" that snaps into place over the drinking hole, so also leak proof. When you open it, you can snap it onto the opposite side to hold it securely. A very, very nice cup. It would make a great gift. Super durable and beautiful.

This is the holy grail of tumblers.

I order a lot of stuff on Amazon, mostly because there aren't a lot of affordable options nearby.

But I also don't really trust Amazon. I'll buy an item with great reviews, and when it arrives (emphasis on when) it'll be counterfeit, or really beat up, or worse than advertised in some other way. One time I got special succulent soil, and unbeknownst to me, it was infested with tiny flies. They killed half my plants before I noticed!

Recently, my trusty tumbler gave out. The plastic took on a weird soapy smell, then the lid started to pop off. Not ideal when you're traveling with 24 ounces of iced tea.

I wanted something more sturdy, but everything I found was either plastic, or a metal tumbler meant for hot coffee (so, with a flip open lid instead of one with a straw.)

I turned to Amazon with low expectations. But then I found it.

This tumbler...

* has a secure lid that screws in, with a straw hole that's made of soft plastic. This clings to the straw, like a better version of a fast food cup.

* also comes with two soft plastic straws and a screw in, flip top lid for hot drinks.

* has a base that fits in normal cup holders.

* is slender enough to be held one handed, even by smaller [adult] hands.

* holds 24 ounces of liquid. Same as my last tumbler, and more than enough for even long drives.

* is made of insulated stainless coated in enamel. (I got the white one with paint splatters.) It feels sturdy without being too heavy!

* AND it's like 99% leakproof.

I accidentally tested this out on first day I had it, when the cup got knocked over. A small amount of water came out, but then it stopped completely. It wasn't even enough to have to wipe the carpet.

BONUS: it keeps drinks cold for WAY longer than my old plastic tumbler ever could.

The only downside is that it's hand wash only, but this will probably help it last last longer.

Using Amazon is a necessary evil, and I usually feel like leaving reviews is futile. So if something can get someone like me to leave a glowing review, you KNOW it's good!
Plus, this tumbler means less plastic in the landfill, which is a huge win for everyone.

If you're looking to treat yourself to a high quality tumbler without the high price tag, this is IT!

I use mine every day. LOVE!!!!

This is one of the best waterbottle I've ever owned. Delievered in great time too! The cup itself is so modern looking and minimallistic, both the straw lid and sip lid are easy to clean, and the bottle comes with two reusable straws which match the bottle. The straw lid features a cross seal, which makes it so no water comes out, no grime goes in, and it makes it easy to use any straw you'd like. I swapped out the soft plastic/silicone straws that came with my bottle to a set of metal straws I already had at home, and they worked perfectly without messing with the seal. I spent a day in the mall with this in my tote bag with the straw lid and not a single drop spilled. Even better? Keeps cold for HOURS. I put in ice last night (it's averaging 90-95 degrees in the day time here) and very little ice melted by morning, and there was no condensation on the outside of the bottle. Yet to try with hot drinks. The only complaint, or rather warning i might provide is that the 20 oz is pretty big-- it's hard to hold in one hand unless you're holding the very bottom. Otherwise, highly recommend this bottle! Haven't yet dropped it so I'm not sure how much damage it would take.

The Simple Modern Insulated Tumbler cup has been an everyday item for me. I have owned this tumbler for around eight months. I personally have a pink (Blush) 28 oz and a pink and blue ombre (Sweet Taffy Ombre) 16 oz. The colors are very pretty and exactly what I expected from the pictures. I use this cup for both hot and cold drinks. The insulation is phenomenal. I can leave a drink overnight and the ice cubes will still be solid. Hot drinks retain their heat exceptionally well. This cup also comes with two straws, a lid made for straws, as well as a flip lid (for mouth drinking). In addition, these lids are interchangeable in the way that you can use them on different sized tumblers from Simple Modern. The shape of the 28 oz is surprisingly good for holding. Instead of being too bulky, the cup is long and easy to hold on to even with one hand. The only negatives that I must point out about this cup are that after a while of dishwasher use, the color has chipped slightly at the cup’s lip, and one of my straws has warped on one end. Regarding the color chipping, the color has held up great everywhere else. Looking at the warped straw, I just stick that end into the beverage. Overall, I love this cup! I use it almost daily, and I have even got one for a friend and they love it. The color was a lovely dark teal (Riptide). The size of the 28 oz is great for bringing water to keep hydrated during class. The positives heavily outweigh the negatives for me and I am looking to purchase yet another Simple Modern Insulated Tumbler in another color. I always have mine with me.

I have always hand washed the cup not knowing if it was dish washer safe or not bc it doesn't say on the listing and they didn't allow you to ask questions about the product either... But one day recently I was washing dinner dishes and not thinking, I put my cup in the dishwasher. It has been since then I started noticing my ice not staying frozen as long, my drinks not being as cold as they were, etc. So basically it's not dishwasher safe. It doesn't really affect me during the day but I always keep a drink on my bedside at night and now in the mornings the drink is pretty much watered down when I wake up but it's still chilled. But it still keeps my drinks cold enough and long enough for me during the day so I still love my cup.... Anyway just wanted everyone to know that it is my belief these cups are NOT dishwasher safe.......

I was secretly hoping that even with the straw inserted it would still be spill proof but I knew that was a far fetched fantasy... Lol... But it still doesn't spill as much as other cups I've owned even with the straw inserted. I just received it today so I can't speak to it's longevity of keeping drinks hot and cold but after I have a better idea of that, I will update this review. I was pleasantly surprised to receive a lid made for sipping your drink and lid made for using with a straw and I also received 2 strong, sturdy plastic straws.

In the video I submitted with this review, The first test was with a carbonated soda and the second one was with water. In the past with spill proof cups, like those for kids, if you put a carbonated drink in it then it wasn't spill proof... But this one still seemed to be pretty spill proof to me. The sip lid has a lock lid so it won't spill if you lock the lid when you're not drinking from it.

But right now I give it a 3.8 ⭐ and so I had to round up and choose 4 ⭐. I'm sure with testing the longevity of cool and hot drinks it might even shoot up to a 5 ⭐

So far, I like it.
