Although I was initially looking for a cup/mug with a wider base to prevent tipping, this base is wide enough that tipping isn't an issue. It keeps my cold beverages quite cold for a long time - 10+ hours without ice. (I don't use it for hot so I can't speak to that.)
The only reason I didn't give it a 5 for 'leak proof' is that if the cup is overfilled, the liquid will bubble up through the opening for the straw. Once I realized that I couldn't fill it above the depth of the lid and was careful about the 'fill level', I've not had an issue with this. (I'd seen negative reviews about that.) Perhaps an interior mark during manufacturing would eliminate people have issues with this.
I also saw negative reviews about the design peeling off the exterior of the tumbler, but I don't see how that would happen. There is no seam and it appears to be embedded directly into the surface of the metal. Perhaps the manufacturing process has changed.
Regardless, I'm going to order another smaller one to keep next to my bedside. The 22 oz. is quite tall and is slightly unwieldy while in bed.

Being pregnant, I drink water like a fish. I'm constantly drinking water. I wanted to drink more water but hated drinking water from a cup because it would just get so warm so quickly.I was looking into getting a Hydroflask at first, but I didn't want to pay almost $50 for it. I sometimes fill this up with cold water before bed and when I wake up, the water is still super cold which is great cause I wake up thirsty a lot. I really like the straw feature cause with my other bottles, I have spilled so much water on me while gulping. Plus with this bottle I can work around the computer and not worry about water getting everywhere.I recommend anyone who lives in a hot environment like I do (I live in Arizona) to buy one of these. If your out hiking or running errands, you will be thankful to have this. It's also perfect for the gym.Overall, hydro flask quality for half the price! Your wallet will thank you!
