Its essentially an index / lookup book for professional biologists/chemists, listing a large number of Isoquinolines, their chemical names and structure, which plant species they are found in, occasionally a paragraph or two of text about the chemical and list of references to scientific papers that refer to it.
There is a introductory chapter describing the various possible layouts of Isoquinolines, but again this is written to the audience of a professional chemist.
I suspect that this book will form the groundwork/index for Shulgin's third book, QIHKAL, which should be fascinating, but this book is not it.
