I liked both of the character's in this book and thought that they worked well together for this book. I thought that even though they both had demons sitting on their shoulder's that they were made for each other.
I wasn't sure if I was going to like Pamela or not. Especially with the likes of her nickname and what she does for the club. But early on in this novella you learn that there is so much more to Pamela than the eye can see. That she has had to make choices in her life in order to get away from a situation and protect people in her life. That you can't help but feel for her. I did end up really liking her.
I really liked Nathan "Boomer" Vaughn. He's got his own demons of guilt sitting on his shoulders that he hasn't dealt with fully. But he's sweet, caring, and loyal. And he definitely fell hard and fast for Pamela.
I really enjoyed this novella and it brought all of the regular heat and action a full length Hellions book would bring.
I'm giving this book another 4 Stars out of 5!!!!
***I voluntarily read a copy of this book I received for my honest review***
Pamela was running from her past and trying to keep a low profile. Danger was closing in on her but she knew she had to keep her secret safe. I loved seeing Boomer step in to protect her and how once he knew about her past, he wanted to keep her safe.
As danger closed in on her, I loved seeing Boomer's protective side. He finds out her secret and that only pulls him more into her. It wasn't easy and I liked how their story really worked out. My only complaint was that I actually wanted more. This was a quick read and I wouldn't say it was rushed but I was so hooked into their story that I just didn't want it to end so quickly. I'm still a die hard fan of this series and I'm ready for the next book.
Nathan aka Boomer followed his brother in arms, Shooter to North Carolina and found a home with the Hellions but his journey is far from simple. He's a broken man and longs for the simple life where he can forget the people he's lost.
Pamela has vowed to do whatever it takes to protect her kids, even if it means they can't be with her. She's got an abusive ex that makes her life hell and puts everyone she knows in danger. Her body and her soul bear his mark and she thinks she'll never be free to live a simple life.
She and Boomer have connected and he's the other person in her life that doesn't treat her like a whore. But what if he knew the truth? Would he step up for her? Or judge her like everyone else? When her darkness comes to her door, simple is the last thing on her mind...it's occupied with survival.
This journey is a really hard road and my heart broke for both these wonderful characters. Although it felt a little rushed, the relationship between Boomer and Pami is one that gives you hope for a second chance at simple goodness in this life. Well done!
Boomer - he's such a strong caring man. Reading about him coming alive and making the choices he does was great.
Triple P - yeah that nickname is awesome thanks to Doll. I loved how the author didn't have her just magically be better. There was time that lapsed and things for her to overcome. It wasn't just insta better and I liked that a lot.
Can't wait for the next ride.
