Does that mean I won’t want to read anything more from this author? Not at all, I will continue to read further Gina Robinson books, just because Simply Blair didn’t hit the mark I had hoped it would doesn’t mean I won’t like her future books. Also I want to find out what is going to happen next. What will happen between Austin, Blair and Nigel who I must admit I wanted to kick in the balls more than once, this is what I asked myself more than once while reading. These books have quickly become ones I look forward to and while Simply Blair simply didn’t work for me as I hoped I still in the end overall enjoyed it.
OMG I am on pins and needles while reading to see what happens and I just could not put this book down until the end. On their way to England then on to Scotland, Austin is basically abducted at the airport by the so called government. They are accusing him of leaking top secret classified information. He then sends Blair on ahead so she doesn’t miss her flight. He promises to catch the next flight and catch up with her. Her first stop is England is where Blair planned to meet up with her ex Nigel to get her ring back from him that he was holding hostage in order to see her. After meeting with Nigel and tells him she is not in love with him anymore, Blair leaves the pub they were in winds up getting hit by a car and loses her memory. Nigel tricks her into believing that she had decided to take him back and said that she wanted to dump Austin. And so the deception Continues. Nigel, who is a big opportunist, takes advantage of the situation and tries to get Blair to fall in love with him again. But, there’s a part of Blair that knows she does not really love him anymore. And although she does not remember Austin, she feels like there is something missing from her life. While Austin is trying to prove his innocence he is trapped with no way to communicate with the outside world. He knows he is being set up and is trying his best to prove it. He is frustrated and going crazy and then his best buddy Lazer steps in to try and help him. But will Blair’s memory return? Will she ever remember Austin? Will Austin’s name ever be cleared and will he be set free so he can reunite with his Blair? You must pick up a copy of this book and read it yourself. But to really enjoy this you must first read in this order “The Jet City Kilt Series” by Gina Robinson:
Almost Jamie Book 1
Almost Elinor Book 2
Almost Blair Book 3 (This one)
And coming soon Almost Austin, Book 4
I can’t wait to read what happens next. Gina is by far one of my favorite authors of all time and I always find all her books very entertaining and well written. I hope you all enjoy this series as much as I did. Thank you again Gina Robinson.
"Simply Blair" had me approaching with caution. I wasn't thrilled to learn Austin was at risk of losing Blair to her egotistical and boring ex Nigel. However Gina Robinson handles this in a dramatic yet completely realistic way. Whenever I would get frustrated by Blair's emotional wavering I was able to understand - to some degree. Most of the action occurs between Blair and Nigel and Austin and Lazer. Austin's pack is in attendance only at the end but their personalities are there in spades. There is one more major conflict for Austin and Blair to face which arises in "Simply Blair". It looks as though "Simply Austin" will be taking place in Scotland; at least for a bit. I am totally invested in Gina Robinson's Jet City Kilt series and cannot wait to see how it wraps up!
