I had a major craving for ginger snaps with a white frosting glaze (yolks grocery store has some I use to love... Then they stopped using as much glaze and made the cookies smallest I refused to buy them) then I went gluten free so really there was no chance of eating them ever again. I decided I was going to make a gluten free version and ordered this on amazon through subscribe and save and saved 15% . it always amazes me how much spices are but I really feel like this brand is very reasonable for the size of the bottle. You can get a generic brand of seasoning in the small flimsy plastic container for the same price. The quality of the ginger is amazing. My cookies were great! I made a double batch and they were gone in 1 day. I will be buying this brand of seasonings from now on!

I have heard such positive feedback about the health benefits from ginger and finally decided to learn how to incorporate it into some of my cooking. The product itself arrives in a glass jar which I prefer so it was a great first impression. It is very fresh and sealed so once I opened it, I refrigerated it like many other spices I do not use frequently to preserve freshness over a longer period of time. I made lasagna and used about 1 teaspoon of ginger in the sauce seasoning. I accidentally got some on my finger and decided to taste it and that was a huge mistake. It tastes awful in its raw state and I do not recommend it raw. However, it blended nicely into the lasagna sauce and actually did not alter the flavor my family is accustomed to. I deducted 1 star for the awful taste but 4 stars for its anti-inflammation and anti-nausea properties, as well as its packaging in a glass jar for complete organic packaging.

This is a really nice ground ginger. I use a lot of fresh ginger but sometimes I'm just too lazy to chop it so I use this. It's got great flavor that's true to it's origin. I always prefer fresh but this does well. I usually add my herbs during the second half of the cooking time so the flavor doesn't cook away.

I love Simply Organic Herbs and Spices. They're all fresh tasting, certified organic, made from the best parts of the plants, and come in glass bottles for reasonable prices. You can't beat that.

This works for me, and I'm happy I bought it. I reach for this product at the slightest hint of cold symptoms, or sometimes I'll just have it for tea in the morning and even at nights. I first mix around a teaspoon.with hot water, then add a mint tea bag, cover and let it brew for approximately 5 mins, then sip to my hearts content; very tasty and delicious! Best of all this is the first year (2015), that I've not already have a cold. The cough and cold syrup industry have lost another customer.

Note: If one wants to try this, you can choose to add a bit of raw honey, Agave, or anything else you prefer to the above concoction. Just bear in mind that you're making this tea at your own risk. So, I kinda doubt this review will be seen by many folks actually searching for a migraine treatment, but let me tell ya... this stuff works. Not always, but neither does Imitrex. There’s a cool study on Pubmed about the efficacy of ground ginger vs. triptans (rx), and they performed equally well. Now this is our go-to, as soon as the noggin-throbbing and nausea hit. It killed the migraine 50% of the time until we started adding 20 oz. water + 1/4 t. Himalayan salt, at the same time, and I think this has us up to 75% successful treatment without ever touching Fioricet or Imitrex. We happen to have a milligram scale and use around 1 gram at a time, but considering how safe this stuff is, I’d recommend finding a way to get 1/4 t down, and add/subtract as needed, from there. In raw powder form, it doesnt taste too terrible with cocoa powder and stevia, unless you happen to feel well enough to make a smoothie mid-migraine, but its easiest to take in capsule form. REALLY wish I had known about this long ago... not just to spare my daughter and I a few migraines, but also, at least $1500 in copays on prescriptions for migraines.
