The Simply Organic company is well known for their high-quality organic spices packaged in quality glass jars, and I have never been disappointed once by anything I have ever purchased from them. This cardamom in particular is the freshest pre-ground cardamom that I have ever found, and I have tried quite a few different varieties. The only way to get a better flavor is to get the whole pods and grind them yourself. This spice is the secret ingredient for a perfect rice pudding, and I also use it to make up my homemade chai batches. It is also just delightful sprinkled onto oatmeal or baked apples.----------------------------------------------------------------------Pictured here: Baked cinnamon and cardamom spiced apples, stuffed with dried cranberries and topped with a generous drizzle of homemade violet blossom syrup. 🌸Recipe-Slice apples in half and carefully cut out cores to create a 'bowl'. Place a good dollop of your favorite plant based butter in the center (Miyoko's is great, or make your own with the Gentle Chef cookbooks!), and stuff with dried cranberries or raisins. Finish filling the centers to slightly overflowing with brown rice syrup (or other simple sugar type syrup), and sprinkle with a good helping of Ceylon cinnamon and cardamom.     I know that this is an excellent brand of spices. I ordered by mistake but I will use cumin in winter cooking. Good with Mexican food which I love and stews. It smells wonderful.
