Yes, the cost is always high when it comes to organic, pure vanilla extract and being an herbalist, I know what it takes to tincture vanilla beans and they alone are not cheap by any means. I love that this comes in glass, that means you can repurpose the bottle for something else when it is empty and you know that there are no toxins leaching into your vanilla from a plastic container. That's important.
I will always go for the organic, pure vanilla for anything in my house that comes to baking and needing the vanilla.
