These are very cheaply made. They don't have a lot of pressure/strength to them. They do have enough though that I actually found they make great bag clips. You can use these for keeping the bags of chips, rice, sugar, etc closed pretty well. If you're into cooking you can use one or two of these to hold the page in place as you cook in your kitchen. I've found this particularly helpful.
If you want to go into the more arts and crafts side with these. If you take a bit of hot glue and glue a magnet to back of one of these. You now have a magnet that can hold a paper or two for you. Perfect for leaving messages for family members, displaying those treasured pictures by the kids on the fridge, etc.
You can even use these to hold a bit of knitting/crocheting in place by clipping one of these through a loop and lightly tightening it. If you're a big crocheter (like I am) this is a lifesaver. Especially when you're working on a big project that can take anywhere from a few days to a month.
I like these clips They're not good for holding up clothes, but you can get a lot of use out of them if you're creative (and a bit unconventional) with how you use them.
You can use them but when you find there is a slightly larger size available and then you see the difference in convenience and most importantly clipping capacity you have to wonder. Unfortunately I bought these twice. The first time I did not know and the second time I forgot because in the interim another family member picked up the slightly larger size at Target and we ultimately used those because you know you pull from clothespins bag like you do from a bag of chips where you like to grab the larger ones first.
So I wish the vendor would realize this and drop these inferior clips or at least make available better quality clips but doing some homework on their supplier.
Unfortunately you are not going to know online as very little is provided in descriptions about their comparative sizes.
