This is a more expensive airbed because of the highest quality material and construction. Less expensive airbeds will leak, stretch and sag more quickly and may not include an integrated built-in pump. Hassle-free inflating & deflating with an easy switch. Our airbeds will LAST LONGER than the competition. The SimplySleeper is a perfect sleeping solution for even the weariest traveler. Combining top-of-the-line quality and weightless comfort into one convenient package can turn any room or area into a comfortable bedroom in only minutes. The SimplySleeper airbed offers a best-in-class feature, a patented breathable DurmothaneTM Polyester Laminate Technology that is topped with a lustrous 100% microfiber surface moderates your changing body temperature during sleep by wicking moisture away. The unique three-layers of materials perfectly sealed together to make SimplySleeper airbeds incredibly puncture resistant and durable, yet sensually soft to your skin. The thermo-induced laminate adhesive layer works to bind heavy gauge PVC together with a PVC coating to reduce stretch and prevent airbed pressure loss.

I want to thank the folks that took the time to leave their comments on this product, you guys saved me from making a big mistake as I almost bought a cheaper POS. To the manufacture, great product, great job.
To our war figthers, God Bless you all and I pray for safe and speedy return home several times a day.
The mattress I received looks like the one in the pictures here except that the raised horizontal comfort coils are instead egg shaped raised coils. Personally I don't like this design as much, the raised eggs are annoying compared to the horizontal style. So if you don't mind that I would recommend this mattress.
UPDATE: They have now updated the image to reflect the new mattress style. I would also like to update that after a few more nights of breaking the mattress in, I am much more satisfied with the comfort. Finding the right amount of air and letting it "soften" up just a bit from sleeping on it has helped a lot. This is definitely the best air mattress I have ever had (and boy have I had a few in the past 5-6 years). I have updated my rating from 4 to 5 stars and will recommend this air mattress above all others, especially for those who use them as a long term sleeping solution like I do.
UPDATE 2/21/2012: Unfortunately I have to revise my review at this time. I have had a leak for a few nights now, waking up mostly on the floor each morning. Now, I have a cat and a dog that both play on the bed (covered with sheets and a protector of course) so I pretty much assumed one of them had finally managed to puncture the mattress. I figured this was of course no big deal, it has lasted well over a year now without a hitch. I whipped out the patch that comes with the mattress and gave it a look over. After a while of playing find the bubbles with a soapy cloth, I realized air was draining way too fast to be a simple puncture. In the end I found that the area around the cable storage had actually began ripping away from the plastic causing a fairly large tear in the mattress. This is a huge weakness, and one that could easily be avoided with a simpler cable storage design (retract into motor, storage container built into motor casing, etc...). Considering the mattress is STILL not punctured, I would say the build quality is excellent except for this one flaw, which will almost certainly cause issues in the long run for anyone else using this mattress on a nightly basis.
Basically there is too little reinforcement around the cable container, after a year or so of "stress" from nightly use, the glue or fabric finally start to give out around the edges. I suspect this could also happen to the motor area as it is almost made the same way, though it does seem to be a bit more reinforced and as of yet has not begun separating.
I managed to patch it up with some crafty duct tape work and the included patch kit, it should hold out pretty good for another year I hope (its ugly as heck though, glad I have a cover). In the long run, I think buying one of the $200-300 memory foam mattresses on Amazon would be the better bet, but if you need an airbed that will last a year without issues, this is still a good choice and much better than some $50-60 Walmart air mattress.
This bed is still going strong for me. No degradation or leaks! Still love this air-bed big time! I'm 5' 7" 122 pounds but I am a tosser-turner and I can put a real hurtin' on an air-bed with my constant position switching throughout the night and this bed is still almost like brand new. Still happy with my bed! YAY! :)
This air-bed is not as thick as typical air-beds but still quite comfortable. I bought this bed after my 2+ year old Aerobed petered out and couldn't be fixed any longer. I have back/neck/shoulder issues which are only relieved by sleeping on a twin air-bed that I can custom adjust to my comfort level. My husband and I own an expensive 'brand-name' queen air-bed but I've just never been able to get comfortable enough on it to be able to get a decent night's sleep, so my solution was to sleep on my own air-bed next to the queen bed.
I really like the feature of having a place for the cord to be tucked away into the side-indention of the air-bed and it inflates and deflates super-fast. Regular twin sheets fit this mattress perfectly.
This bed and its materials feel quality made and I will be using it every night, so, it will be interesting to see how the longevity plays out after a couple of years of constant use.
Also, don't be surprised when you receive your bed and the box that the bed is folded in has been already opened as this is part of this company's quality-control to insure your bed inflates and holds air for 24 hours and deflates before they ship it to you.
