Visit the pet store to pick a dog or cat for your Sims. Then run their pet lives and fulfill their pet needs as you increase the fun and social life of the whole Sim household. Housebreak your pets; train them to do tricks; play with them; buy them toys, treats, and accessories; and do your best to keep them from destroying the whole house! Your Sims will have plenty to do while taking care of their pets. An expanded neighborhood with 30 additional residential lots and five community lots featuring parks, cafés, and a vegetable market will give your Sims and their pets a variety of places to meet their neighbors.
Note: This is an expansion for The Sims, and requires a copy of The Sims to play.

Not only can your Sim have a cute furry animal friend, they have 50 new jobs in five new career tracks and they can grow a vegetable garden.
The Old Town development is nice, and it is free for your Sim to go there. Sims can go there to socialize with other Sims in the neighborhood, to buy a pet, or sell your vegetables. The Expansion on the neighborhood is great, now there is more space for creative expression.
I like this expansion pack the most but there are a few things that are annoying at best. I like the dog and cat skins, but there are not enough. Training the pet is time consuming. I recommend if you have a Sim buy a cat or dog, only buy one at a time. There are strays that a Sim can befriend and adopt. Yet like having the Sims develop friendships with other Sims, this becomes a hassle for the career-minded Sim. The Vegetable garden is good...you won't have your Sim spending their salary on food and they can make a few extra bucks selling the veggies. Down side: Like with any real garden, you have your garden pests... growing carrots forget it(unless you trained your Sim cat to be a ruthless bloodthirsty hunter). Tip: Grow beans and tomatoes, they don't have to be replanted once they are harvested.
I made the mistake of purchasing this expansion pack before the others(Hot Date, House Party, and Vacation). Now I didn't know I made this mistake, until after playing with Unleashed for about a week then I decided to buy the Hot Date expansion pack.
That is when I found out that I had to install the games in order of their release. So I had to uninstall Unleashed as well as Deluxe Edition, then reinstall and installing the older expansion pack before Unleashed. I'm not a computer whiz, so it took me a couple of hours and rereading the installion instructions before I got the game to work again.
This expansion pack is a must for the Sims, having the pets adds a new dimension to the Sims everyday life. You don't have as much control over a Sim dog or cat like you do with the Sim people. The dogs and cats are run by free will, although you can tell them where to go but you cannot give them actions. Unless your Sim person is petting them or trying to train them. It is amusing to see the pets interact with one another, and hiss or growl at their owner.
Of all the Sims games I liked the first one best and many places online said it would run on Windows 10.
Unfortunately it doesn't, nor can you get it off your computer.
New pets are much much fun. :) Although, a hint: I have not been able to successfully keep birds in any house with a cat. The kitties keep eating the birds, and I haven't been able to stop it from happening.
Gardening is an adventure, although if you are a perfectionist, it can end up being a full time job. The Garden pests are frustrating, but I suppose it's like real life in that way. My hint on this one: have at least one cat, and train them to hunt.
I haven't done much with the new jobs yet, but there are 5 new tracks that look quite interesting.
This game adds SO much more to your game, I highly recommend it if you do not have it already. As you all know, this game adds the features of Pets to your sim world. However, this is just like 1/5 of the new features!
Tired of building on the same 10 lot neighborhood? The Sims Unleashed adds a lovely 41 lot expansion to your neighborhood! Yes, that means you can build around 50 families!!! (If you wanted to.) In addition, an Old Town is installed RIGHT into your neighborhood!! The cab to get there is free!!! You can bring your sims to the heart of the neighborhood and grab some expresso, bring your pets to the pet show, buy seeds to grow VEGETABLES, the list goes on and on!
Speaking of vegetables, Unleashed adds a totally cool aspect to the game. You can now farm and eat your produce!!! I recommend the tomatoes because they can re-harvest themselves. Annoying little gophers and bunnies come and try to eat your crop, so I tend to stay away from planting carrots. >.<
Now back to the pets. They are really adorable!!! There are two types, ones that are a part of your family (cat and dog) which have the most interactions. You can play, pet, and train them. (Even housebreaking for the dogs! and hunting for the cats!!) if you have a big garden I suggest having a cat to scare away the annoyancees. THe other types of animals you can have are things like turtles, goldfish, iguanas, and lovebirds. They are kind of boring as all you do is like watch them... and feed. not much else.
The LARGE neighborhood expansion, adorable pets, new farming tools, and especially all the new objects and furnishings makes this game TOTALLY worth it! Add it to your cart now!! =]
I like all the different ways you can play. For me, it's the building and designing part. I just like to build new places and let them move in. Odd I know, but that's what I like.
If you are new to The Sims, Do yourself a favor.. buy them all and just get started.
