Initially, I wasn’t sure how I would feel about Grace. She’s made no bones about the fact that she doesn’t do commitments and doesn’t believe in refraining from sex for any length of time. However, once Brody determines it’s time to find redemption from past mistakes, he begins to make his intentions known and Grace finds herself falling for the lead guitarist. As Grace’s personal struggles and fears are revealed I understood the decisions she had made in her life. Mrs. Geissinger kept her true to character throughout the whole book, a decision I respected and approved of.
Grace and Brody’s banter was so much fun to read and they just clicked on so many levels. I loved when Brody’s housekeeper Magda entered the picture and showed another quirky side to him. It is a hilarious scene and worth the read for that alone. The chemistry between the hero and heroine was intense, hot and had some serious steam. I knew that Brody’s original deal was going to be blown to kingdom come.
Of course they both have things from their past that they are struggling with and those problems strike them at a time when they are both emotionally down. The result is a nerve-racking journey that I frantically raced through to get to the conclusion.
Some of the scenes with Grace’s present boyfriend at the beginning of the book and the fact that a third party was the one to help clear the air between the H and h at the end resulted in the loss of one star in my rating.
I enjoyed seeing the characters from the previous books and getting a look into some of the things going on in their lives. There is also a great epilogue that leads me to believe we may have another great series on the horizon.
Heroine in a temporary relationship prior to being with the hero

Let me start by saying that I did not read the previous 2 books in this series. This book was fine as a stand alone. If you have read the other 2 you will get updates on the previous books characters in this one. Normally I like to get updates on previous books characters but in this book I felt like it was almost too much. In my opinion the angst going on with the main characters from previous books (Kat & Nico/ Chloe & AJ) took focus away from these main characters.
Moving onto this book.... Grace and Brody.... Again I didn't read the previous books so I am not sure how much info they gave about these two in those books. Grace is a wild and free, sexually adventurous, commitment resistant woman. Brody is a bad boy musician in the band Bad Habit who loves to surf in his free time. Putting these two together was interesting. I enjoyed the interaction between these two, they had a fun and playful banter that left me smiling throughout much of the book. Brody was first to come forward and put himself out there to try to start a relationship with Grace. The author was able to write Brody in a way that is irresistible (to me anyway); dominating, sexy, loving and playful. What a combination! Due to issues from Grace's past she does not want to be committed in a relationship, she has chosen to move from man to man (no relationship lasting over a month). The characters and their responses/behaviors were believable to me and I find that very important. There wasn't the far fetched, out of place responses that you sometimes see in these types of stories. I did read the synopsis from the other 2 books in the series and based on comments made by Grace in this book it sounds like the story line is similar to the previous 2. Boy meets girl, secretive past, secrets come out, boy and girl move past issue presented.
I am giving this a 3 1/2 star rating only because of the amount of drama from the secondary characters. As I said before, it was a little much. Poor Grace and Brody couldn't even enjoy the fact that they finally got together because Grace had to deal with all the issues her friends were having.
Overall I would recommend this book to anyone that likes the bad boy rocker thing, well written and steamy sexy scenes, and contemporary romances.
Grace wasn't my favorite in the beginning of this series, but by the second book I had to know more, I wanted more. I love her quick wit and her ability to give as good as she gets. Brody was always a mystery to me. He always seemed so shy and quiet. This book will stun you. Grace and Brody, these two are definitely quite the match. Thank You J.T. for their amazing story!
