My Review (copy provided)
Andi-my heart ached for her, my stomach twisted and I just wanted it all to be a dream. Our sweet, driven heroine lost her dream. Her parents are doing their own thing and she is all alone. How will she handle losing everything she worked so hard for?
Drew-my thoughts were confused, I didn't know what to think. I loved him and his funny, cockiness that brought Andi back. He was our hero that didn't want the dream. Andi helped him see the light. But what if it wasn't real? What if everything we see is all in our mind?
Andi and Drew have a love hate relationship and they can't stay away from each other but are constantly angering one another. He is rude and unapproachable. Drew has secrets and Andi wants to know what he's hiding. Andi's seen first hand how his parents are. She's already seen one of his "groupies" but she knows there is more to him.
I love that Drew wasn't the typical bad boy. He was portrayed as one but when you really got to know him he really wasn't. He knew what he wanted and went after it. I also like how there wasn't the whole jealousy thing with other girls or a confusion/miscommunication that caused a huge break up or anything. It's nice to read a book that doesn't have the cliche bad boy and typical doubty heroine. The author took us almost to the end before we really found out the truth and I like how it was done. I also really liked how the book kept me guessing about their initial encounter and still left me wondering. I like that it's not spelled out for you and lets you kind of use your imagination as to what it could have been.
The thing that got me upset was Andi's parents...I just kept wondering why they wouldn't come back after learning what had happened to their daughter, but show up for her graduation? The accident would have been more important in my mind to get on a plane then a graduation. That was the only issue I had.
This was a great book with a little different twist. I recommend!
I was thrown off by the book at first and couldn’t quite figure out what was up with Drew in the hospital. As the story unfolded, everything came together. Was it fate? Were there stronger forces pushing these two together?
This book was an easy read and struck the right balance for me between angst and romance. The dynamic between the characters is strong and the author has developed some witty banter between them. My favorite books are the ones where you get pulled in by both the hero and the heroine. This book definitely delivers.
I didn’t find the book to be slow to start but like I mentioned previously, some things just seemed a little odd. Stick with it and you won’t be disappointed.

To think I almost DNF at around 20%. But I continued reading it and I'm so glad I did. This story turned out to be amazing.
