So this is what Sinclair Broadcasting is doing to mainstream itself?

When I downloaded this app I had no idea it was a product of the infamous and hateful Sinclair Broadcasting Network, an insidious and subverting "news" organization that makes the propaganda at Fox look half-hearted. I quickly found out that they are a part of this and looked around the app to find nothing special offered. Now I am looking for a way to remove it from the queue on my smart TV. The last thing we need now is more rightwing pot-stirring, and I recommend everyone avoid this app and take a hard look at which of their local TV stations are owned or controlled by the Sinclairs - there's one in Portland - and start worrying about what and why news is being, literally dictated, for arcane purposes from the corporate headquarters.

It's free and it has Comet. Comet is like how syfy used to be. Great add on if you are a cord cutter, or a cord never-er. There's around 10 channels on the app. Cable look to the guide. Half of the channels are sci-fi and tech oriented, also some family and movie channels.

Well, I couldn't use it so I can't really like it. I tried to watch a couple different movies and it said not compatible API on both of them so I went try to hit the back button to watch live streaming and it's been doing a yellow circle ever since and it won't stop. Probably been circling for a few hours now. I think I'm going to delete this app. Thank you.

Difficult to navigate/NOT user friendly

It’s hard to bash a free service. However, I find it way too frustrating to “surf” their channels to find something to watch. I have quite a few free and pay apps on Roku. Pluto is one of my favorites. It is very user friendly and super easy to navigate. Stirr makes it impossible to locate movies or certain content. They also do not offer an on demand section. If you make a decision on something to watch and it’s over or you want to choose something else, it takes you back to the FIRST channel on their lineup NOT the channel you were on. You then have to scroll all the way through to find something. If you click on anything to find out what it is and don’t want to watch it, back you go ALL THE WAY TO THE TOP again! I eventually gave up and just went to Pluto. When I don’t really want to “pay attention” to anything specific, I just let Pluto stream. Stirr needs to make their app more user friendly! They need to allow choosing favorite channels, choose what type (Category) of live tv you want to view, and stop taking you back to the beginning of their lineup! If they make those updates/upgrades it would be much better. I would definitely watch more.

So far so good but will need more content. I know they said they would be adding more channels. Do like the fact you have access to most local news stations. There are some good channels on it. I enjoy the on demand shows they have to offer.

Locked up my Firestick repeatedly, requiring reboot. Then got an "API error" and "no internet connection" even though everything else works. Very very very slow to start with a spinning circle that stays on the screen minutes. The app has crashed repeatedly. Locks up when trying to play a channel. 1 The brief time it worked, program guide is almost unusable, taking up only 1/4 of the screen. Why can't I see more than 2 lines?

How can Amazon allow an app this horrible on it's store?

Pass on this. Use Pluto. Much better.

Stirr has some great channels. Old game shows, sci-fi (Greatest American Hero!!), lots of movies. It also has some local news and other stuff. Definitely worth checking out. No account needed. In fact, no way to make an account. Just download and watch.
