Irreverent fun with engaging characters, wonderful art, and enough perspective that he will occasionally make you question some of the crappier assumptions of your world view, definitely not for the easily offended or sensitive to religious or patriotic satire.

I enjoyed this so much more than I thought I might! It's a great strip comic in the tradition of Bloom County and Doonesbury...not so much Doonesbury's politics and with fewer beloved characters than Bloom County, but you'll love these folks just as well. There's sex, religion and slam poetry...do you need any more? And God holds sock puppet performances....COME ON...plus if you like the cutesy animals of Liberty Meadows, Sinfest has the best (and most realistic)cat and dog team up since Disney...Get it, sit back and enjoy!

This Book gives you the comics from the beginning of Sinfest. It gives a feel of nostalgic when reading it. The book includes the original stips that were not online from when the author first wrote them in college. Sinfest Volume 1 is a great gift for anyone who has just discovered the webcomic.

As one who has read the entire Sinfest series to date a couple of times on line, I thought it appropriate to purchase a hard copy of the early days, just in case it fell off of the web. This volume also includes some of the early pre-sinfest works as an historical perspspective of his work.

Very enjoyable for the most part.

I LOVE the latest Sinfest but liked this early stuff years ago. I bought it mostly for the 'complete set' feel along with 'see how the comic has changed' historical feels.

Still a great world with some good laughs though.

When I opened up the book that I go to scan to flip the pages this cartoon character in the book is cursing say the sh@t twice and they are doing a little or big violence. Don't buy this comic book at all, because no natter what happened that they do evil or say that stupid stuff on the comment chatting bubble and on the pictures by inappropriate cartoons people.

I love Sinfest to death but these reviews sound they're written by children on acid. I think there's something fishy here.
Anyway, I hope that Mr. Ishida is making a good living with this, or whatever his day job is.
