Cross Paul Simon’s Graceleand with Little Big Town vocal layers, and add occasional wallops of percussion, along with an occasional ukelele . . . this is one tough album to pigeonhole. Many of the songs draw the listener in with intimate, folkie moments that literally explode into stadium-sized Mumford-like choruses, but with multi-part, call-and-response harmonies. This aptly-named band will get you on your feet, leaping airspace, and smiling yourself silly. Infectious doesn’t begin to describe how these five musicians catch your ear and don’t let go. Every song is a winner. The confident swagger of “Rule the World” sets the positive tone carried through to the end of the album. “Boomerang,” “Heart Is a Weapon,” and “Home We’ll Go (Take My Hand)” are the energy centers, but none hold a candle to “I’ll Be Waiting.” That song defines the CD: a breezy acoustic intro, a punchy soaring chorus, timbale breaks, and Rodrigo-y-Gabriela flamenco bridges all make this one a roller-coaster thrill ride. Listen loudly, and I challenge you to sit still. More likely, you’ll be Home’s Oh, all six feet tapping, dancing with your hands in the air like you do not care.

I've been following WotE for quite some time after discovering some guy from Toronto doing covers on YouTube, and then watching this band evolve. So yes, I'm a fan.
The album is all them. Each song is WotE, there is no mistaking that. Each song is different - resulting in a fresh track each time. I really enjoy that there are at least three 'lead' singers for the group, and an amazing level of musician ship. They really seem to be having fun doing what they are doing, and it is very apparent that they love making music, and we, the audience benefit.
Is it an earth shattering chart topping best album of all time? That's up to you to decide after buying it. I recommend that you do if you are into fun rocked up folk music full of surprises. I call them folk out of lack of anything else to call them genre wise.

Was waiting for this one for a long time and it is worth the wait. Like millions of their fans I discovered Walk Off The Earth on YouTube and have been a fan ever since. If you haven't seen or heard of them go to YouTube and search for them. One of their videos - 5 Peeps One Guitar has been viewed over 160 million times. They are a down to earth fun group that make great videos and music. Do yourself a favor and buy this or their first CD Revo you wont be disappointed.

I had never heard of this group before. I was actually in a sports store one day and their Rule The World song was playing on the intercom. I couldn't get it out of my head so I googled what I thought was the title and eventually found a link to this album. Rule the World and California Trees are my faves but the whole album is very enjoyable. It's an eclectic mix of regae, folk and rock all in one but it really works and all of the voices are strong. Great driving music....great for anything really. I look foward to future albums from this group.

Has several excellent songs on it. Originally released as a single, "Rule the world" is the first track on this album, but certainly doesn't set the tone.

The balance of the album is kind of "upbeat laid back." I really like them all.

A denouement after REVO.

The best song on the album is the title track and it sounds a-bit-too-much like K'naan's "Wavin' Flag". More than a bit.

WOTE got infected with a style bug and every song echos it. I mean, it's not a bad sound--but the same sound. Over and over.

I bought the CD anyway because I think this is an amazing group of talented people. We will see better from WOTE I am sure.

I fell in love with WOTE on youtube. They do the most amazing covers. Anyway, I bought this cd to support them and it is so much better than I expected. The music is hard to classify. I would say it's uplifting soft rock. They have a great sound. I like them and my kids like them. The lyrics are kid friendly, so win win. There are way worse way to spend $10.

A few great songs. A few not so great. Overall, I like their first album R.E.V.O. A LOT better. Still always a blast to see these guys live. It seems they went a little too mainstream and poppy on this album. Just my opinion. Rule The World, Home We'll Go, and Sing It All Away are definitely my faves. Boomerang is fun too.
