I bought this album when it was first issued in 1961, and have treasured it ever since! Sheldon Allman, who just recently died (or did he??!!), was a genius at writing and vocal comedy. This album is like listening to an old master performing in the Catskills. It's like one continuous radio show with Drac and his sidekicks singing take-offs of old favorite songs. It starts with a rousing "Children's Day at The Morgue", and segues into "Fangs For The Memories". "Amongst My Souvenirs" was my favorite! And close seconds were: "A Coffin For Sale", "Don't Maim Me" (sung by his sidekick with a Peter Lorre impersonation), and "These Ghoulish Things Behind Me Are You". Everything is done with tongue-in-cheek, or should I say fang-in-cheek! The album is so well produced, and it never has a disappointing cut. Now that it has been released on CD, the sound will be clearer than the LP I love so well. And you don't have to lose an anxious second of time running to turn over a record to continue the program on the second side! Having it on CD is like a dream come true for this loyal fan. And to Sheldon Allman, I fondly say, "Fangs for the Memories!"

Would sit around for hours listening to this Album with friends and proceed to laugh our butts off as a kid. Now on C.D. sounds better than ever. Would love to get together with those old buddies and give this old classic another spin.

I'm always on the lookout for "new" music for Halloween, and this album certainly fits the bill...performed by Sheldon Allman, a Jewish-American born Canadian raised actor and singer. Released in the early 60s, the music was based on many popular tunes of the day (50s and 60s).

Try it...buy it...you'll be amused...

Really good organist, and you so often get the other kind. Sheldon sings like a basso Kelsey Grammer.
