Remember when Amazon was about books? Well, it still is and I recently received and read Sing & Cook With Andy LoRusso. I was wondering, do I really need another cookbook? I can get any recipe I want from the Internet. Well I am telling you, this book is absolutely inspirational and a delightful read too. OK, secret places? I’ve only had this cookbook for like 5 days and I’m already cooking my second batch of Pasta Fagioli With Roasted Garlic Crostini (page 55) – and it’s summer. Isn’t soup supposed to be for the wintertime? Hint, if you plan to make the appetizer called Fresh Peaches With Prosciutto and Basil (page 27), make sure the peaches are ripe enough. Fortunately I had the foresight to buy the peaches a day early – you may need 2 days. One of my favorite aspects of this cookbook regards the interesting stories that the author shares about his personal experiences in each of the book’s sections. Oh, I tried the roasted garlic for the first time. I’m a believer. Buy the book. Try a new recipe that you might not of thought to pick off the Internet. Have fun. Share. Enjoy. Sincerely, foodie, Chris B.
As my uncle once said years ago the best kind of people in the world are the Italians and the ones who wish they were Italian. When you try these dishes your taste buds will most definitely feel Italian.
