When Mary Esther finally was tired of the phoniness of so called Christian band members, she decided to go back to her home town even though family members were all gone. The family home needed repairs if she was going to live there. Samuel was instrumental in assuring her it was solid and renovations were possible to make it a lovely home to reside in. Samuel and Mary Esther are strong in their beliefs and had kept themselves pure throughout their life, too often this is not the case in an inspirational book.
Samuel took every opportunity to share his faith and that one must serve God truly as the Word of God implies despite society. He even told Mary Esther several times women should be wearing skirts not pants. He went on to state he wanted uncut hair on her instead of an even cut, because of what the Word of God said. Will Mary Esther and Samuel differences in life blend them together once they both are assured of God’s will for their lives?
I loved reading Sing a New Song by Caryl McAdoo. This book will leave Christians feeling uplifted and renewed and bring others to a greater understanding of God’s love, peace, joy and hope He wants to give everyone when they are in a relationship with Him. The characters lives are real with life issues that only God can solve to have true happiness in Him.
