As a memoir, it was funny as well as insightful. I laughed out loud at the camping story involving the car horn and also got a kick out of a situation with four year old Jessica embarassing her mum in the store one day. The things kids say! She also talks a lot about her schools and how they helped her. She attended both hearing and deaf schools at different points in her life. She was also the very first deaf person to attend Oxford.
If you are deaf or you love someone that is deaf, take the time to read this. At only a 164 pages, it will not take too much of your time and when you are thru with it, you will understand the deaf much better.
