Tldr - great short scissors, the tips are only really useful for ultra thin fabrics.
ONLY USE FABRIC SCISSORS ON FABRIC!! NEVER FOR PAPER! That is all ^^
The biggest problem other than the cost, is the strength of them - They feel pretty sturdy, but they do blunt quickly. I strongly suggest that you only use them for snipping threads, in which case they should last a long time. They do come with a lifetime guarantee the card on mine said, but it also said that you do not return them to Singer, but to some other company. That would be great, if they told you where they were? They give you the name of the company, but nothing else, not even a website. A search reveals several companies with similar names, so there is no way currently of using that lifetime guarantee. Hopefully Singer themselves, or some helpful Amazon member will know the address for returns should it ever be needed? I do hope that future batches of these scissors will come with cards that give you the details properly of the supposed lifetime guarantee. These three problems are the ONLY reason they lost two stars, because otherwise they are INCREDIBLE. That nano-tip is the biggest plus of them all. They can cut the threads between letters on computerized embroidery with relative ease. I even use mine for unpicking stitching they are that good. I have tried so many specialist sewing scissors, supposedly "made" for embroidery, but the tips are relatively thick and cannot cut close. Nor can I get them under some stitches either, despite them costing several times more than these. I have ditched all my embroidery scissors and now use just these Singer ones - They are that good a design! If only they would make them in a high-grade machine tool steel instead (then they would not blunt after about a year's use) they would be perfection.
I use them for art related projects, such as cutting wool yarn for knitting, and cutting any type of paper/cardboard. So far I use them often and they appear to be great quality
