Great Story . . . unfortunate misuse of synonyms. I get really tired of people who call themselves authors and can't distinguish your from you're, their from they're from there, affect from effect and myriad other issues with textual content including missing words, lack of commas and typos. Unfortunate is a good term for this book because I was engrossed with the story line. This author just needs to have someone read her book before she publishes. In summary, Story Line 5 Stars - Editing 1 Star - Average 3 Stars.

The story was wonderful and kept me engaged throughout. Unlike all of the fantasy romance out there where there is just a little bit of trouble before the hero and heroine find each other and ride off into the sunset... this story felt more like it could have happened to any one of us. It was a pleasure to read something so grounded yet sweet and engrossing. So, I'd give the story 4 stars.

Without going overboard and repeating everything else other reviewers have said, I will just mention that the editing left much to be desired. There were missing commas, periods etc, misspelled words and incorrect usage of others (i.e. your vs you're). I honestly found myself wishing I had a red pen so that I could mark up the pages - but since this was a kindle version, there was nothing I could do. So, I'd give this 1.5 stars for editing.

If you can get past the woeful editing, then this gem is well worth your time!

While this book contains a wonderfully involving story and very good description, the grammar and spelling mistakes take away only slightly from the book. The terminology used lead me to believe the writer is from the south, using the word "toboggan" for a knitted winter hat. It wouldn't have caught my attention except the story takes place in the "pioneer" days, and was used to refer to an English couple's gift to their child, No Englishman would use the word that way, to an Englishman a toboggan is a wooden and metal sled used for both work and play. I did enjoy the story and will read from this writer again.

I am not completely convinced on this book.
Is it really good or really bad.
The book starts were Xzan is 2 and spans over two decades and ends when she is about 24.
Some parts are truly excruciatingly painful where she endures horrible pain and the reader literally experiences that pain.
Then there is the choices that she makes and how it shapes her.
I am also not sure how I feel about the end. The story was a bit too much all over the place.

Spoiler: This story draws you in and then at then treats you like a whack-a-mole. Its an emotional rollacoaster the whole way through. The story is repititive in the actions of the villains. The worst is that the description leads the reader in one direction but the book ends somewhere totally different. The ending is okay when reading it but thinking back I was very disappointed in who she ended up with and who she did not end up with and the author never explains why her and Wolf have the connection they do. His part of teh story was the most upsetting. Both go through sadness but she at least has a "happy" ending he does not. I wanted Wolf and her to fight for what they wanted but I understand what Wolf did so she could live peacefully without harm it was just ultimate let downs left and right. I would not read this again or suggest it to friends.

I really liked this story but, whoever edited this book needs to find a new profession I could not believe this was published with so many grammatical errors!

I couldn't put the story down! The journey of the main character, Xzan was engrossing. An awesome story. Thankful to the author for not sugar coating the realities of abuse and the life of women during this team.
